Saturday Night Main Event Live Grades 🔠

Takeaways From SNME 44 ➡️
Let's take a look at the matches scheduled to air Wednesday night.
Daniel Bryan vs. Kane
This was a pretty typical match for these two, but it's still worth seeing. Bryan and Kane have good chemistry, and they always put on a good show.
Main Event usually avoids major storylines, but this match is as major as it gets. Bryan's struggle against The Authority has been getting more attention than the WWE title feud, and rightfully so.
Bryan is WWE's hottest commodity at the moment, and they are capitalizing off his popularity by having him in a high-profile angle.
Nobody wants to see match after match of Kane and Daniel Bryan, but using Kane as a placeholder for Triple H works for the time being.
This is the closest thing Main Event has seen that even comes close to being a main event match in months, and it was a good bout to kick off the live show.
Alicia Fox vs. Nikki Bella
These two were given a lot more time than the average Divas match, and they did a decent job filling that time with textbook wrestling.
Nikki has clearly been working on her power in recent months, and there is no denying the physical ability of Alicia Fox.
While this match might not get fans excited, it is a good example of an textbook women's wrestling match.
The feud between the regular divas and the Total Divas has been getting stale for quite some time, but decent matches like this one will make it easier to take.
The Usos vs. Los Matadores
The New Age Outlaws were supposed to have their title rematch on Main Event, but Billy and Road Dogg said they were too injured to compete.
Brad Maddox came out and confirmed the injury, but he did not leave the fans without a title match they were promised.
Los Matadores were given a title shot seemingly out of nowhere, but it ended up working out in the end.
Normally when I see Los Matadores come out for a match I cringe, but this time I was actually kind of excited. These are two high flying teams with the potential to put on a very fun match.
That's it for this week. Are you looking forward to any of the matches set for Main Event, or is this week's show skippable?
