Breakers Add Mundy to Developmental Squad, Waive Harris The Boston Breakers signed midfielder Sophia Mundy to a developmental player contract, it was announced by the team on Monday. Mundy, who tried out with the Breakers during the preseason and had been playing with Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) club Boston Aztec ever since, takes the developmental player roster spot of defender Ariel Harris, who was released by the team on Friday. The Houston-native scored a goal and an assist in four WPSL matches this season with Aztec. Prior to trying out for the Breakers this spring, she had played professionally in Iceland for Valur FC and Afturelding. She played two seasons with the University of Houston after transferring as a junior from Portland State, setting Cougar single-season records for goals (14) and points (33) in 2005. She was a two-time All-Conference USA First Team selection. | Breakers Take Time Out for Fan Feedback From the start, the Breakers front office has committed to pursuing a grassroots, fan-friendly approach to launching the new league and establishing the team locally. Now, after three home games, we have initiated our first "tell us what you think" survey with a randomly selected sample of season ticket holders and online ticket buyers. The goals of the survey are two-fold: (1) Achieve actionable feedback on the Breakers game-day experience and in-stadium customer service and (2) Learn more about the Breakers fan base. “We’ve been thrilled with the response rate from our fans,” said Director of Marketing Karin Piscitelli. “This type of immediate fan feedback is so valuable as we continue to make additions and improvements to the Breakers game day experience. Best of all, many of our fans find it very exciting to be asked and to have the ability to influence the team’s decision making.” Highlights from this survey and a summary of the resulting action plan will be featured in a future "In the Six" edition. |
