MLB All Star-Game: Everyone Has Thoughts
And so it starts.
Although the All-Star Game is a month away, there are plenty of the opinions and suggestions are plentiful. I just want to add one of my own.
First of all, an exhibition game determining who gets home field advantage in the World Series is absurd. The teams with the best records should be rewarded. Having each team represented is a close second.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Each league doesn't even have the same amount of teams. MLB having one division with four teams and one with six never has made much sense to me.
MLB missed its chance when it didn't put the Washington Nationals in the American League like it used to be. Placing them in the American League East would have created a natural rivalry with Baltimore. The Blue Jays then could have been placed in the American Central. Kansas City could have then been placed where they used to be once upon a time, the American West.
This alignment could have created three divisions in the American League with five teams each.
Pittsburgh then could have been moved to the National League East, replacing Washington and therefore leaving the National League with three divisions also consisting of five teams.
I'm sure there are other alternatives to realignment.
Such a concept would be more far reaching than an exhibition game, but at least the selection process for the All-Star rosters is on an even basis regardless of what's riding on the outcome.
