J.A. Happ vs J. Beckett

What scares me: Well, the first thing that jumps out at me is J.A. Happ making only his fouth and fifth starts of the year against Santana and Beckett respectively.

Happ will have his hands full with David Wright and Jason Bay this week and can not expect to get much run support. J.A. has had pretty decent starts during this second stint in the rotation but the match-ups could mean two L's this week.

Matchup to watch: A. Bastartdo vs. D. Matsuzaka; This past week facing the Rangers "Dice-K" gave up five earned runs on 10 hits over 5 2/3 innings. He did not walk a batter and struck out eight.

Bastardo, the 23 year old Dominican, allowed two runs and seven hits over five-plus innings to win his second major league start on Sunday against the Dodgers. He struck out four in the game and walked only one as his ERA went up to 2.45 on the season.

However, this will be Bastardo's first start at Citizens Bank Park which means less room for those fly-ball outs.

Nugget: The Fightins' record All-Time in Inter-league play is: 92-110 Best year: 1999 (11-7) Worst year: 2008 (4-11) the Phils took the first interleague series 2-1 from the Bronx Bombers in May. They look forward to series with BOS, TOR, BAL, TB, then TOR again. Could be interesting. One fun thing to note is that we get to boo Scott Rolen and J.D. Drew again!
