The Memphis Grizzles currently hold the No. 2 spot in this year's NBA Draft, but the New York Knicks might be interested in making a trade for the rights of that selection.

The Knicks are currently at the eighth spot and are looking at drafting a variety of guards from Stephen Curry to Johnny Flynn.

Yet, New York has expressed intrest in trading with Memphis for the No. 2 pick, and if both teams could work something out, that would be a fantastic option for the Knicks.

Blake Griffin will most likely get drafted first overall by the Los Angeles Clippers, but there is a big toss up of who is going to be selected second between U Conn big man Hasheem Thabeet and European sensation Ricky Rubio.

The Knicks would be glad with any one of those future NBA stars, but if a deal goes down and the Knicks get the right to the second pick, who should they take?

In order to get that second pick, the Grizzlies will most likely want current Knicks Nate Robinson or David Lee in exchange for the pick. If the Knicks trade away Robinson, then Rubio must be the absolute choice, but if Lee is the man Memphis wants, then New York must go after Thabeet with no hesitation.

If the Knicks do lose Lee, then they will have no inside game what so ever. So adding Thabeet would be a big time pick up if that scenario does happen. If Robinson is the man packing his bags, then New York will not have that quick, flashy point guard, but the addition of Rubio will provide that same style of play for the team.

This trade is very possible for the Knicks, and the player they trade away, whether it be Robinson or Lee, should be filled in right a way by either Rubio or Thabeet.
