My Extreme Rules Experience

Hello there. Callum Graham, your favourite blogger here and today I will being taking you through my Extreme Rules experience, like a diary I guess. I haven't tried anything like this so it will be very interesting to see if it's a success.

Little background knowledge, I live in England/UK/ Great Britain (they all work), thus times are different. The pay per view starts at 1 a.m. finishes at 4. Saying that it's not really a pay per view, being shown on SkySports, I get to watch it on TV for free.

It's currently 12:35 and i'm watching afterburn. Do you guys see this in the U.S? Seems like a pointless show, wonder who actually watches it.

What to say, let's go with a few of my predictions for the night.

Umaga vs. CM Punk

I've heard a few people predicting a "cash in" tonight, if that were to happen Punk would have to win this match. Quite hard to predict as I haven't paid much attention to this feud, going to go with CM Punk

Big Show vs. Cena

There is a big deal being made of how Cena will win, but with how ridiculous the WWE has been with him becoming invincible so I worryingly predict (although hope i'm wrong) that John Cena will win.

Jeff Hardy vs. Edge

They just showed a promo for this match, has absolutely huge potential. Loved all the clips from classic Edge Hardy ladder matches. My money's on Edge for this one, but also for this to be matches of the night. My bets also on at least one announces table to get broken, I'm guessing ECW's.

Side Note: The announcer Justin Roberts for Smackdown seems alright with every word he announces, apart from the words "Edge" or as he says "Headge" and "Jeff" or as he says "JEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFF" Trust me, listen out for it tonight.

MVP vs. Kingston vs. Regal vs. Matt Hardy

Didn't know this match was happening till earlier today, got to be Kingston, they wouldn't give him a 6 day title reign, would they?

Dreamer vs. Swagger vs. Christian

This match will be solid HARDCORE. I feel today will be the day ECW officially dies. It's a shame Dreamer is leaving but if he is to win, it would be a bit annoying as I've prepered myself for him to leave and this would be the perfect exit. I'm going with Christian.

Rey Mysterio vs. Jericho

Firstly, A No Holds Barred match, surely extreme rules would mean no holds barred? I'm thinking and hoping Jericho wins but I don't think he will remove the mask, that's a big deal.

Orton vs. Batista

I don't quite know what to make of this one. I'm thinking Orton will win but I'm not sure how the match will pan out. Interesting one to watch.

O.K. that killed alot of time, 12:54 now. Oh yeh! I forgot the HogPen match.

Santina vs. Vickie

Going to be an awful match, Vickie will probably win via someone trying to lick her ass similar to Hardy and Regal.

Also, I hope Miz comes out at somepoint, guys a legend.

4 minutes to go, I'm getting hyped for it now. Incidentally I'm up this late as my college has a teacher training day tomorrow, lucky me!

Yes sir, we promised you a great main event here, Wrestlemania, Hulkamania is running wild, Rest in Peace, If you smeeeell, You're fired, Give me a hell ya, It's not over, The whole world is watching......Don't you just love that bit.

Here come the fireworks! Nice set up, that X looks pretty awesome.

Match 1: U.S. Title Fatal 4 Way Match (is this going to be extreme?)

Wonder if this is an elimination match. Out comes Regal representing the U.K, we're not all as miserable as him, honest. 5 minutes gone and SkySports has already got a shout-out. BALLIN! I tried saying that to my mate and realised it really doesn't work in an English accent. Kingston wins. 

Managed to predict that one right. Poor old Regal. Match Rating 6.5/10

Josh Matthews interviewing Big Show: Too many Josh Matthews interviews as of late, he's got no charisma, which is what you need in entertainment business and this interview was completely pointless.

Match 2: Mysterio vs. Jericho - IC Title

Where's Jericho? O.K. he's speaking. Merchandise stand with the fans. That's quite unexpected and he makes some good points. "Don't touch me". Sign in the crowd, 'Jericho got fat' and out comes Rey.

Wow! Jericho just "tried" to unmask Mysterio and pretty much did unmask him. I could see his face so i'm sure you could. Impressive 619 counter from Jericho into backbreaker there. Codebreaker! 1,2, Nope. And here come the weapons.

WHAT! He's unmasked! Jericho wins. That was an unbelievable ending. Counter into Walls, Counter with chair hit, Counter 619 by unmasking. Match Rating 8.5/10

Another Josh Matthews interview, now with Batista: BORING! Hang on, he said let's show you a clip from this Monday night, then your thoughts, I can do that! Batista looks alot more old in HD (yeah i'm watching it in HD).

Match 3: Umaga vs. CM Punk - Samoan Strap

Sweet this match has my favourite referee, Charles Robertson, what a legend. Still can't get over the Mysterio Jericho match. So far this match seems quite limited and slow.

The most interesting part of this match so far is that Todd Grisham studied Geometry. There we go; Punk wins it. That wasn't a bad ending to be fair. I'll be honest, I'm on fire here that's 3/3 predictions correct. Match Rating 5/10

Hurricane interviews Christian: This should be funny. Nice, Dreamer = A Melting Candle, not bad. That was brilliant, move over Matthews, Hurricanes interviews are much better. Swagger came and they both left, brilliant.

Match 4: Christian vs. Jack Swagger vs. Tommy Dreamer - ECW Championship

Dreamer comes out and gets a slightly disappointing reception. Didn't seem to have a strong cheer you'd expect. Here we go, I'm expecting Hardcore, bloody violence, will I get it? Here come the weapons! Swaggers taking a beating. Dreamer has only ever been ECW champ for roughly an hour, thanks for that Matt Striker.

Christian own ECW chant, not quite the same but still good. Four trash cans and lids in the ring and 3 sticks/canes and a stop sign, only in ECW. DDT! DREAMER WINS! Dreamer lives on. Will this reinnovate the old ECW, I certainly hope so. Match Rating 8/10

Match 5: Vickie vs. Santina - HogPen Match

The King has a load of funny lines whilst announcing the rules, funny guy. Still haven't got Vickie a entrance yet. Ref is wearing some neat pants there. By the way it's now a handicap match and Vickie sent Chavo in there instead, LET DOWN.

Wow here comes Vickie. Chavo threw the crap at Santina who ducked and it hit Vickie, Santina wins. Match Rating 4/10

An odd promo for SummerSlam, different to what I have seen in previous years.

Batista Orton is up next...Raw world championship matches have been mid order three months running now.

Vicke and Chavo backstage: Goldust and Hornswoggle confront them. "You smell like shit" says Goldust, awesome stuff. They continue walking to Vickie's office and Edge is in there. Vickie and Edge argue. Edge says he's filing for a divorce, it was never going to work with them on different shows.

Match 6: Batista vs. Orton - Steel Cage WWE Title

Batista's out there with an intense look. Orton very nearly gets out within a minute. "You can't wrestle" chants I just heard. I assume there aimed at Batista, if at Orton they are inaccurate chants.

This match is making Orton look weak. Batista bomb, wow. Batista wins. That was an awful match I have to say and a surprising result. Match Rating 6.5/10. That's 3/6 and 3 wrong predictions in a row now.

John Cena career promo: All round Cena is pretty good, he's simply not a good enough wrestler and it is irritating that he always seems to be winning or champion.

Match 7: Big Show vs. John Cena - Submission

Big Show is looking a lot more in shape and has lost weight, 441 lbs, The Slightly Smaller Show yeah that works. Sign "I can't see why they love you". I'm expecting 15 minutes of Big Show offence followed by a Cena rush of moves and i'm not sure about the finish.

King just moaned about Cena's sleeper being put in wrong but Big Show faded anyway. Should know how to do sleeper hold if your a wrestler in WWE. Plenty of long hold, waring down submissions from Big Slo- Show so far.

There's the FU and the STFU, nope! Cena does a different version of STFU with Shows foot on rope (which can unhooked, botch!) and he tapped, Cena Wins, BORING! Match Rating 5.5/10

Edge and Jeff Hardy promo: So many brilliant ladder moments involving these two. This should be one of the matches of the year, hopefully with no major interference (Matt Hardy coming out right at the end).

Match 8: Edge vs. Jeff Hardy - Ladder World Heavyweight Championship

There is a sea of ladders on the ramp, outside the ring and next to the announcers tables. I'm going to estimate 20 ladders out there. Hardy comes out and gets hit by the pyrotechnics!!! Only joking, but seriously there's more ladders lying down by the ring. Going to say 25 ladders there. Told you he said Jeff and Edge weird.

Eight matches at a pay per view is a rarity these days and it's nice to see.

Ding ding ding. Here we go, first ladder incoming. They've managed to break that ladder, just minutes after J.R. said "a ladder never breaks but the anatomy does",

I had to drop my laptop and watch that match. It was like watch a film and there were lots of different scenes or events so many highlights on what was a great match and for Hardy to get his second title reign is awesome hopefully it will last longer (yeah i'm taking the piss) Match Rating 9/10

Punks music hits. He cashes it in the match starts. The go to sleep connects, 1. 2. Kick out, maybe he won't win it this time. Jeff Hardy with a cradle! 1, 2, kick out. Maybe he will then. Go to sleep for the second time and Punk is the new champion. Match Rating 2/10 (what? it was only a minute long).

Overall this pay per view exceeded all expectations. I got 4 of the 8 predictions correct, not good enough Callum.
