Ring Rap With Matt: My Extreme Rules Thoughts and Predictions.
Hello everyone,
As always thanks for spending a few minutes with me.
Extreme rules is only five days away, and it's time for me to get off my lazy butt and post my pics.
When you host a PPV called "Extreme Rules" it builds up an automatic hike in standards.

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Lets just hope the WWE follows through with this and doesn't give us some half-ditched effort.
I will say, though, this one has some potential.
This looks like it is a solid card on paper. I am also happy to see both the U.S. title and the IC title defended.
I hope they continue to try to build up the smaller belts in future PPV's. There is no reason we can't bring some dignity back to the smaller titles.
There are a couple week spots I see on the card, but I wont get too picky on them tonight.
We move on, though, as I give you "Matt's Extreme Rules predictions."
Mrs. Wrestlmania Pig Pen Match: Vickie Guerrero vs. Santina Marella
I will be honest, I could give a rats you know what on who wins this one.
The Santina bit was funny for a while, but I have lost interest in it to be honest with you.
I can see this being a total disaster when all is said and done with this match. Lets just hope Vince doesn't drag this one out too long.
I guess I have to pick someone so I will say Santina wins this one. I'm not really sure how and I don't really care.
Samoan Strap Match: CM Punk vs. Umaga
Over the years in wrestling we have had many strap matches.
They are very simplistic in nature and most of the matches follow the same pattern.
That being said, I really enjoy a good strap match. This one should be no different as they are hard to screw up.
Their will be a lot of almosts when trying to reach the ring post in this bout.
I also think we will see Umaga get in a lot of his power stuff. In return, CM punk will get in many quick come backs.
You can also expect a ton of whipping and choking in this match.
This will go back and forth and should be an entertaining match.
I pick Umaga to tie the series.
Submission Match: John Cena vs. The Big Show
I will be frank in saying that I don't think this will be a very good match.
I'm no fortune teller, so I could be wrong in thinking this, but my gut feeling says otherwise.
I don't see how they can think putting two big guys into a submission match is a good idea.
This will be a ugly match because neither are great technicians in the ring. The obvious flaw being Big Show.
In the end, somehow Cena locks in the STF and picks up the win.
Fatal Four Way Match for the U.S title: Kofi vs. M.V.P. vs. Matt Hardy vs. William Regal
I like that they added this to the card for this Sunday. It gave it that little extra kick that it needed to justify the price.
All four are good in-ring competitors, so it should be a solid fatal four match.
The only odd man out I see in this match is William Regal. Not because he isn't good, but rather this type of match doesn't fit his style.
I'm sure this match will be loaded with high spots and near falls. That's what you see in these matches for the most part.
The only one who really needs the title is Kofi though.
M.V.P. is most likely going for the heavyweight belt, and Matt doesn't really need the belt.
I look for Kofi to retain his title in this match.
No-Holds-Bar Match for the IC title: Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio
Watching this feud building up has been very entertaining I must say.
These two have been going at it hard lately. As most know, though, they are well introduced on the squared circle.
In this match I would expect a lot of what we saw in the last one.
The only difference will be this is a no-holds-bar match. I am sure we will see some hardcore action but not too much.
I also have a feeling we are going to see this feud go at least one more month.
I see Jericho taking home the gold in this one to tie the series. This will lead into another bout next month.
It is refreshing to see some juice in the IC title again.
Triple Threat Match for ECW title: Christian vs. Jack Swagger vs. Tommy Dreamer
This will be your typical three-way dance.
All three are good ring-workers, so I would expect this to be a solid match.
We all know what Christian and Swagger bring to the table. Tommy Dreamer I'm sure will be fine in this also.
Unless Dreamer plans on retiring, I don't see how he doesn't win this one.
This was a short and simple pick. I see Dreamer winning to recapture ECW gold. I don't think he will be holding it very long though.
Steel Cage match for the WWE title
Randy Orton vs. Batista
These two put on a good match when they wrestle. If you add a steel cage to the mix, it's only a bonus.
I see this being a very physical fight between these two. If I had to guess, I would think there will be some bloodshed also.
This will be a back and forth fight and the match should be decently long.
In the end, I think Orton will retain the belt due to interference from Rick Flair. This will then set up a feud between Flair and Batista.
The winner, and still WWE champ, Randy Orton.
Ladder Match for the world heavyweight title: Edge vs. Jeff Hardy
I would be shocked if this isn't the match of the night when all is said and done.
These two are kings of the ladder match. They have faced each other many times going back over a decade.
Unless someone gets hurt, this will be a great match. I think at some point Matt will get involved, but it won't determine the match.
We will see lots of blows from the ladder and lots of dives off the ladder. I think that goes without saying.
These two in this match will put up a human highlight reel by the end of this one.
In the end, I like Edge to retain the belt.
Well that's it for me, folks.
My last PPV predictions were pretty good. I got only two matches wrong.
Lets see if I can go perfect for this Sunday.
As always, have a great day and God bless.
