Gareth Barry, a True Sportsman and Good Role Model
While Aston Villa fans whine and cry, and Arsenal, Liverpool, and Spurs fans grow envious, I bask along with every other City fan in knowing we now have one of the strongest mid-fields in the English Premier League.
Opposing fans are branding Gareth a mercenary, sell out, traitor, spineless, and two faced, saying that he shows all the above by joining a club that is currently not in the Champions League.
Well, I call all of them out by branding them out of order and childish.

Gareth Barry has chosen the opportunity to achieve Champions League status with a club that will without any doubt at all do what ever it takes to achieve a Champions League position next season; no other club outside the top four has the financial power to compete, be that a pity.
Barry does not want Champions League football handed to him like a free lunch ticket, he wants to work for it; he believes in the City revolution and is taking a chance, and to top that, it is ultimately his life and choice.
Villa fans should be thankful for his many years of loyal service, and while we're at it, should be ashamed of themselves.
Gareth Barry, never in the papers for the wrong reasons, deserves the chance Manchester City are offering.
As for other opposing fans like Arsenal and Liverpool, well, you can all carry on whining like little babies, spiting their dummies out because no one cares what you think; bitterness and childishness get you absolutely nowhere.
You may want to say, "Well what about City fans being bitter." Well that's just you buying into the United fans mythical belief that we are bitter, when in fact, we could not care less about anything other than Manchester City when football is the subject.
Gullible would be one word to spring to mind.
Gareth Barry deserves some respect and currently he is not getting it. Be bitter, be envious, be worried, but don't be disrespectful.
