Transfer Rumour Rater: Alvaro Morata to Arsenal in the January Window
After hearing that local rivals Tottenham are allegedly interested in Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata, Arsenal are keen to tie up a deal for the youngster's signature, too.
Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail has reported that the Gunners are eager to lure the 21-year-old to the Emirates Stadium after hearing that his club are apparently willing to let Morata leave on loan.
Attack has been an area that Arsene Wenger's side are looking to strengthen in January, with Olivier Giroud currently shouldering a great deal of the striking burden with only Nicklas Bendtner as an experienced backup.

Wenger's hopes may rest on Real's ability to bring in a player of their own first, however, as per this excerpt from Mokbel's report:
"Luis Suarez and Robert Lewandowski are the sort of calibre player that Madrid are looking for and the former wanted to join them in the summer. According to rumours in the Spanish capital, if Madrid can sign a new striker then the door will be open for Morata's loan move."
