Predicting WWE's Plans for Eva Marie After Drawing Heat from Fans
Eva Marie has heat, and that means we're only going to see more of her.
Marie is money. She's not popular and probably not respected by many. However, money doesn't answer to morals. Money answers to value.
People are watching the Total Divas reality show and are seeing how Marie is being portrayed. I say portrayed because it's a reality show. It's not all being captured in one natural take. I assume her ignorance in many situations is amped up for the cameras but don't doubt she takes ownership to some of what we've seen. A reality show is just like wrestling—it's a work. We need a good guy and a bad guy.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
We saw her get in the ring at Survivor Series and the next night on Raw where she was welcomed with the loudest reaction any of the other 13 girls received. That there is the key.
The chorus of negative reaction is money to the WWE's ears. Good move on Marie, or whoever instructed her to play to it Monday by blowing kisses at the fans when they began to boo her.
The only type of heat that isn't good in wrestling is heat because your co-workers don't think you're safe or can be trusted in the ring. That's not really an issue for her. Anything Marie does in her limited in-ring time will be carefully planned to keep her within range of what she's capable of. She won't be calling any 20-minute matches in the ring.
Otherwise, heat is good. I don't believe in fans who think there is heat where people are annoyed by you or they think you're a jerk in real life. Some have coined this “X-Pac heat,” which is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.
Talk about fans trying to make themselves more important or intelligent than they actually are. Saying you don't like someone in wrestling, not because they're a good heel but for reasons beyond that, is stupid. You should stop watching.
If you don't like someone and you boo them, then they've done their job. It's when performers get no reactions that they're doing something wrong. The mere fact fans refuse to give a performer credit for getting such a negative reaction is further proof of how good of a job that performer is doing in making fans dislike them.
I work as an on-screen heel for International Wrestling Cartel (IWC Wrestling) based in Pittsburgh. It's been around since 2001, and every name from CM Punk to Logan Shulo (recently signed to WWE developmental this month) has worked there. The fans are a loyal bunch, but I've heard some say this regarding me: I get one of the loudest heel reactions each show, but some will type away that it's not because I'm a good heel. Yet they keep reacting and keep coming back.
WWE has to be loving the heat Marie's persona is generating. The bigger reaction she continues to get, the more the audience will understand her.
The money feud is going to eventually come in Marie versus AJ Lee. This might seem random right now, seeing as Lee isn't even one of the seven girls featured on the reality show, but as things develop, it will make sense.
Lee is by and large loved by the fans. Her “I'm innocent” demeanor has an endearing quality, along with her facial expressions and skipping around the ring. She loves wrestling and is good in the ring. She doesn't look like a super model and is relatable to wrestling fans. She worked her way from the independents and then through WWE's system.
Marie looks like she always just stepped off of a magazine shoot. She has a look that screams she can't be trusted and is out to manipulate. She doesn't have the knowledge of wrestling nor does she have the natural in-ring ability. Her job and notoriety was handed to her with the reality show on E!.
The Bella Twins are paired off with John Cena and Daniel Bryan. Pictures and speculation link Lee with CM Punk. Natalya is married to Tyson Kidd. Naomi is with one of The Uso brothers.
If Marie got together with Ryback, talk about the ultimate heel pairing to the audience. There would be even more money in that romance!
