Transfer Rumour Rater: Jackson Martinez to Barcelona in the January Window

Barcelona will spend big in order to find their next star striker this January, with Jackson Martinez said to be the man drawing their attention.

That's according to Spanish newspaper Sport (h/t Dan Coombs of Here In The City), who add that the Porto hitman would cost an estimated fee of £34.8 million, said to be the value of his release clause.

The Catalan giants aren't the only interested party, either, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Inter mentioned as those clubs posing the most competition for his services as things stand.

Martinez has been a prolific asset since moving to the Estadio Dragao, the latest in a long line of South Americans to have succeeded with Porto.
