John Cena and Michael Strahan Arm Wrestle on 'Kelly and Michael'

Just hours after successfully defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series, John Cena took on another challenge in the form of an arm wrestling match against former NFL star Michael Strahan on Live with Kelly and Michael on Monday morning. 

The former Super Bowl champion and future Pro Football Hall of Famer came out on top, but only after help from co-host Kelly Ripa. After tickling Cena's nose with a feather in the first bout, she saved Strahan from what appeared to be certain defeat in the rematch.

Even so, the leader of the Cenation was gracious enough to pose alongside Strahan afterwards, as seen in this video courtesy of the show's Instagram account.

Perhaps Monday morning's encounter was a sign of things to come, as the former New York Giants defensive end will be the guest host of Raw from Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. on Monday night.

If Strahan is forced to engage in fisticuffs, he'll be ready thanks to the pair of wrestling trunks that Cena presented to him. 

Cena and Strahan ultimately engaged in some friendly competition, but Cena had some tough talk for the host prior to his appearance.

The World Heavyweight Champion hasn't been shy about laying down challenges since his return from triceps surgery last month. Following WWE Champion Randy Orton's win over Big Show on Sunday night, Cena came to the ring and posed with his title in what appeared to be a sign of one-upmanship.

Cena also tweeted at Orton ahead of his appearance on Monday.

The Viper and Cena have a long history together, and another chapter could potentially be written on Monday night. If things get heated, it will be interesting to see what kind of role Strahan plays.
