This Alex Rodriguez and Sleeping Mike Francesa Mashup Is Some Kind of Wonderful

The only thing better than Alex Rodriguez's impromptu interview with WFAN's Mike Francesa on Wednesday may have been if the host dozed off halfway through A-Rod's rant. 

The Internet, she provides. 

The good people over at SportsGrid spliced together the two most unforgettable moments from Francesa's show in the last couple of years for a cocktail that is as smooth as any double-barreled Scotch 

The New York Daily News report will catch most of you up on all things Rodriguez at the moment. According to that report, the Yankees star was caught "storming out of Wednesday's hearing while telling MLB COO Rob Manfred that the process against him is 'f------ bulls---.'"

And what do you do when you feel jilted by others? Well, you go running into the arms of a loving and understanding soul. 

Rodriguez gave an interview to Francesa that, while hardly a cupcake exchange, was one loving stare away from Rodriguez answering questions while sitting on the host's lap. 

Now, to be fair, Francesa did ask him at the end to come clean, to which Rodriguez vehemently denied any wrongdoing since the last time he was caught doing wrong, which reminds us of the last time he was vehemently denying anything. 

Ah, at any rate, Rodriguez went on a rant and Francesa listened intently, unlike the time he seemed to fall asleep while Sweeny Murti spoke with him back in September of 2012. 

As Deadspin reported at the time, Francesa denied ever falling asleep even though we all know the telltale signs of older adult males nodding off before our eyes. 

And so we have a theme of deny, deny, deny going on here. So it's fitting that someone would bring the two already absurd moments to form like a Voltron of spectacular comedy. 

We now have everything we need to keep us warm through the holidays.
