Utah Jazz vs. Chicago Bulls: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis

Alec NathanJun 1, 2018

The Chicago Bulls snapped a two-game losing streak on Friday night with a 97-73 victory over the winless Utah Jazz

With the win, the Bulls improved to 2-3 on the season while the Jazz fell to 0-6 in the loss.

It wasn't a particularly stellar offensive affair, but there were a few bright spots for Chicago. Luol Deng finished one assist shy of his first-career triple-double, scoring 19 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and doling out nine assists while accumulating five steals.

Carlos Boozer also double-doubled in the win, racking up 18 points and 10 boards. Four of the Bulls' five starters finished in double-figures, with Jimmy Butler (five points) the lone exception.

Derrick Rose finished with 12 points on 3-of-8 shooting and continued to struggle with the ball in his hands, turning the rock over four times while dishing out just five assists.

Joakim Noah added 14 points (6-of-9 shooting) and eight rebounds, but it was his defense on the interior against Enes Kanter that really stole the show.

As a team, the Bulls shot 52.8 percent from the field, a mark that was far superior to Utah's 29.4 percent shooting from the floor.

Only three Jazz players finished in double-figures (Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors and Alec Burks), and it was Hayward who led the way with 15 points on 5-of-12 shooting.

Despite committing 15 turnovers over the game's first 24 minutes, the Bulls still managed to lead by 11 at the half and pushed that margin to 22 after three thanks to a 27-point third quarter.

Next up for the Bulls is a meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night while the Jazz will travel North of the border for a showdown with the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.
