Philadelphia Eagles (+1.5) over Green Bay Packers

Bettors who got to the book early will be happy to have nabbed the Eagles while they were getting 10 points—which this line opened at, according to ScoresAndOdds.com—but those who weren’t as fortunate should still back this surging squad.

Green Bay’s superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers will miss this contest due to a broken collarbone suffered against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football in Week 9. That is a huge blow to the Packers offense, as the team sputtered once backup Seneca Wallace was inserted into the lineup.

The 33-year-old second-stringer completed just 11 of 19 passes for 114 yards and an interception after taking over in the first quarter.

Let’s not forget that Eagles signal-caller Nick Foles etched his name into the record books with a seven-touchdown outing this past Sunday, decimating the Oakland Raiders secondary in a 49-20 rout.

It seems Philly is firing on all cylinders heading into this upcoming game and should be ready to explode offensively yet again. Foles and his offense have a juicy matchup against a team that concedes over 250 yards per game to opposing passers.

He should be able to lead the Eagles to a straight-up victory on Sunday, easily covering the spread on the road for the second-straight week.

Tennessee Titans (-11.5) over Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the worst football teams the league has ever seen, and it is worth betting against them week in, week out.

Per VegasInsider, the Jags are 1-7 against the spread this year, the worst mark in the league. Even the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers have managed to cover on two of eight occasions.

Contrast that with the surprising Titans, who have been one of the most consistent teams for backers to get behind. They have cashed tickets in five of their eight games and pushed in another, costing bettors just twice.

With young quarterback Jake Locker having by far his finest season as a pro, Tennessee has emerged as a competitive squad in the NFL this year. It handled a tough St. Louis Rams squad on the road in Week 9 and should have no problem dispatching the Jags at home come Sunday.

Jacksonville might earn a win in 2013, but it’s certainly not going to come in Week 10, and it’s not even going to be close.

Expect the Jags to lose by two touchdowns or more as the Titans manhandle their divisional rival to gain ground in the AFC South.

Dallas Cowboys (+6.5) at New Orleans Saints

Speaking of teams that cover the spread with ease, Dallas has been one of the best in the business during the 2013 season.

The 'Boys lead the league in cashed tickets, beating the set spread in seven of nine contests, according to VegasInsider.

The Saints aren’t terrible in that department—and are currently undefeated ATS at the Superdome—but seem ripe for their first home loss after collapsing against the New York Jets this past week.

Dallas is in a must-win situation, holding on to a slim lead in the NFC East and hoping to capture the divisional crown plus make the playoffs for the first time since 2009. With a Week 11 bye on the horizon, America’s Team needs nothing more than a straight-up win down in the Big Easy before the home stretch.

It won’t be easy, but Tony Romo and his offense have proven capable of matching blows with anyone in this league. The veteran signal-caller notably outdueled Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos in a narrow loss back in Week 5.

If he can get some support from his defense, Romo will be able to keep pace with Drew Brees this coming week.

Fortunately, the Dallas “D” is one of the league’s most opportunistic, generating 21 turnovers in nine games. It ranks just behind the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs in the turnover differential category at plus-10.

If the ‘Boys defense can force at least one critical interception or fumble, expect Dallas to win this Sunday Night Football showdown.
