NFL Predictions Week 9: Home Teams That Don't Stand a Chance
Being the home team in the NFL is normally a huge advantage, but for some teams in Week 9, that simply won't be the case.
The New York Jets got smoked in their Week 8 matchup and things aren't going to get any easier in Week 9 when they draw the New Orleans Saints.
The Buffalo Bills are in much of the same boat. Not only will they have to meet another great team in Week 9, it's none other than the 8-0 Kansas City Chiefs.

New York Jets (vs. New Orleans Saints)
One week after getting crushed by the Cincinnati Bengals 49-9, the Jets will welcome an even more talented offensive squad into town when the New Orleans Saints arrive at MetLife Stadium.
While the Saints are struggling in the ground game (No. 25), they can certainly air the ball out with Drew Brees behind center heading the No. 3 air attack in football. That's where the Jets have shown their weakness this season as they are a middle-of-the-road unit, ranking No. 15.
Brees should help soften up a normally stingy Jets run defense (No. 1) by establishing the pass early, which will open things up on the ground for the Saints and make things even more difficult for head coach Rex Ryan's team.
That's a recipe for disaster for the Jets, as they own a suspect offense led by quarterback Geno Smith who has contributed to the No. 22 passing attack. Again, this is where the Saints have an advantage with the No. 9 pass defense in the NFL. A normally shaky run defense for New Orleans (No. 20) will be masked by the fact that the Saints can cheat against the run while not having to respect Smith much until he truly earns it.
New Orleans' defense also has a knack for turning the ball over with the sixth-best mark in the NFC and that'll lead to extra possessions and even more points once the inevitable happens and the Jets add to their AFC-best mark of 17 giveaways.
Final Score: Saints 28, Jets 10
Buffalo Bills (vs. Kansas City Chiefs)
The Bills got a taste of an elite team in Week 8 after getting creamed by the Saints, 35-17. Sadly for Buffalo, its meetings with great teams aren't done yet with the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs rolling in.
Quarterback Thad Lewis has done an honorable job behind center for Buffalo, but he didn't stand much of a chance when the Saints' pass rush got to him early and often last week with four sacks in total. Much of the same will happen this week considering the Chiefs lead the planet in sacks with 36, nine more than any other team. On the other hand, the Bills are No. 4 in the league in sacks allowed.
Lewis also didn't do a good job of taking care of the ball as the Saints forced him into one interception and three fumbles, two lost. Kansas City is also elite in this category with an AFC-leading 20 takeaways.
Even though the Chiefs don't have the most explosive offense, they will get so many opportunities to put points on the board that they'll have no problem surpassing what will be a stifled Bills offense. Buffalo is especially poor against the run, ranking No. 26, and the Chiefs will be able to get their offense going by pounding the rock at first and allowing quarterback Alex Smith find a rhythm.
The best chance the Bills have is to get a stellar effort from their defense, but that may not be possible after the offense fails to sustain long drives.
Final Score: Chiefs 24, Bills 7
