Either way, it’s now a seven-game losing streak. Cubs are back to .500, and fourth in the division.

Five runs scored the entire road trip. Shaved beards, high socks, Micah Hoffpauir…didn’t change a thing, except the number of Cubs' losses.

What did you feel most while watching the Cubs go 0-6 on the road trip: frustrated or embarrassed? For me, it felt a lot like last October.

When’s the last time D-Lee was considered a big scratch from the lineup?

Still, give the guy credit for breaking through at the plate lately.  He has a seven-game hitting streak, has scored nine runs in his last 14 games and went 6-19 on the road trip.

Doesn’t mean I like him as the No. 3, but it’s encouraging to have at least one Cub being productive at the plate. Plus, D-Lee has been a much better hitter at home .290 than on the road .196.

Reed Johnson shaves off his chin shrub and goes deep! That hit marking the 700th, and the 200th extra base hit of his career. Now what does he do—stay clean shaven or re-grow the chin-hawk?
