Week 8 NFL Picks: Teams That Will Generate Buzz with Big Wins This Weekend
The Kansas City Chiefs will enter Week 8 with mighty expectations. Andy Reid's squad represents the last of the NFL's unbeaten, but is still looking to make believers of fans outside of K.C.
With the lowly Cleveland Browns coming to town this weekend, the Chiefs are in a no-win situation. If they lose, they're pretenders. If they win, they're just playoff contenders that haven't beaten a quality team yet.
Either way, the Chiefs are sure to continue sparking water-cooler conversation as we approach the midway point of the NFL season.

Kansas City Chiefs
The NFL's last unbeaten team will stay that way this weekend with a victory over the struggling Cleveland Browns at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kansas City's surprising 7-0 start to 2013 has created a ton of buzz, but at 8-0, the Chiefs would be one win away from assuring themselves an undefeated record heading into Week 11's much-anticipated AFC West showdown with the Denver Broncos.
It's difficult to imagine Cleveland handing Kansas City its first loss this fall. The Browns have lost two straight games and won just one road game all year.
Plus, the Browns are 0-4 with Brandon Weeden as their starting quarterback. Had it not been for the spark Brian Hoyer provided in Weeks 3, 4 and 5, we could be looking at another winless team.
Given their stingy defense (11.6 points per game allowed) and ability to create turnovers (19 takeaways), look for the Chiefs to pull out another victory at home on Sunday as they look to generate some more buzz heading into Week 9.
Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons aren't back in contention just yet, but the Dirty Birds aren't dead yet either.
The short-handed Falcons finally got back in the win column in Week 7, beating division rival Tampa Bay to end their three-game losing streak. At 2-4, Atlanta is still three games back of the NFC South lead, but can inch closer to .500 with a win over the struggling Arizona Cardinals this weekend.
Arizona is 3-4 through seven weeks, but has dropped two in a row and looks awfully beatable at the moment. The Cardinals have given up at least 32 points in each of their past two games and averaged just 3.3 yards per play in Week 7's loss to Seattle.
On the other side, the Falcons rank third in the NFL in passing offense this season and have scored at least 28 points in three of their past five games.
Therefore, look for Atlanta to produce just enough offense in Week 8 to outlast a slumping Arizona team in the desert.
With two straight wins, the Falcons will be one game below .500. Their 1-4 start and laundry list of injuries suddenly won't seem quite so devastating.
Denver Broncos
The Washington Redskins may have put up 45 points in Week 7's last-minute win over the Chicago Bears, but RG3 and company will need more than that to survive a shootout with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos this weekend.
Denver is coming off its first regular-season defeat since Week 5 of last year, and that means Washington will not only be up against a potent squad in Week 8, but a determined one as well.
Despite their hiccup in Indianapolis in Week 7, the Broncos are still racking up nearly 470 total yards of offense each week and averaging a league-leading 42.6 points per game. That doesn't bode well for a Redskins defense that is allowing 30.7 points per game in 2013.
With Manning and the Broncos' high-powered offensive attack back home and settled in this week against a losing team, you can expect Denver to right the ship and get back to its buzz-generating ways in Week 8.
