First half analysis
Szczesnyโhas had absolutely nothing to do other than clear a few back-passes with his feet.
Sagnaโa good outlet down the right flank, he delivered some good crosses in the first half hour or so and even tested Ruddy with a dipping shot.
Mertesackerโdefensively sound, but had very little to do until the closing minutes of the half.
Koscielnyโrecycling the ball well from deep and keeping Hooper extremely quiet.
Gibbsโgot forward well initially and overloading Norwich down that flank was working well for the Gunners. A threat with his pace and drive.
Flaminiโhelped win the ball back quickly but replaced through injury.
Artetaโgood passing and energy in the middle and helping Arsenal keep shape in front of the defence.
Wilshereโgoal was a thing of beauty. Brilliant opening half hour, linking well with Ozil and Giroud.
Ozilโsome nice touches and taking up good positions around the edge of the penalty area, though could do with being a little more incisive.
Cazorlaโbuilding his way into the game, great movement at times and helped the move for the goal along its way.
Giroudโnot holding the ball up as well as he might all the time and perhaps should have scored for 2-0, but great first-touch and flicked through-pass for Wilshere's goal.
Second half analysis
Szczesnyโbeaten by a low, long-range strike at his near post, but faultless other than that. Some good saves and quick distribution.
Sagnaโcontinued his good form after the break and consistently got forward for the Gunners. Kept Redmond quiet when he came on and provided good width the entire length of the field.
Mertesackerโlargely good in defence although a few headed clearances didn't travel far enough to be totally effective.
Koscielnyโa good display all-round, never let Hooper have a second to hold up the ball or get anything like a good chance in the penalty area.
Gibbsโa little quiet in the second half, but supported well at times and was steady in defence.
Artetaโkept the game ticking over and launched several attacks from deep, but was overrun at times when Norwich had more control in the 10 minutes or so either side of half time.
Flaminiโhad already been subbed.
Cazorlaโtired after the break upon his return to action, but had worked hard and shown his quality.ย
Wilshereโdrifted out of the game for a spell after the break, but finished very strongly and was involved in much of Arsenal's best play in the last 15 minutes or so. Unlucky not to score another goal and showed intelligent movement.
Ozilโscored twice, a header and a tap-in, both of which were as a result of his excellent movement. Gets through a lot more work than he's credited with on account of his excellent ability on the ball.
Giroudโnot a stellar performance by any means, but linked up well with the trio behind him at times and dragged the centre-backs around on several occasions.
