Report: Arsenal Set for January Swoop for Berahino
West Bromwich Albion starlet Saido Berahino is the subject of interest from Premier League leaders Arsenal following his stunning start to the season.
The England Under-21 international, who has burst onto the scene following a string of impressive performances for Steve Clarke's side, has been reportedly added to Arsene Wenger's list of transfer targets, according to John Percy of the Telegraph:
"Arsène Wenger is considering a January move for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino as he steps up his bid to recruit emerging English talent.
Wenger, the Arsenal manager, has added Berahino to his list of potential new signings for next year after the England under-21 international's stunning start to the season at the Hawthorns.

Berahino scored a hat-trick on his debut in the Capital One Cup victory over Newport County, and followed that up with the winning goal in Albion's 2-1 victory over Manchester United two weeks ago to cement his growing reputation as one of England's bright young prospects.
If—as Percy says in the report—Wenger is believed to be on a mission to be recruiting emerging English talent, then Berahino will join the likes of Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs as young Englishmen at the Emirates Stadium.
Percy also reports that the 20-year-old has been watched by scouts from the Emirates, as well as Chelsea and Everton in recent weeks as he continues to grab the headlines in the Premier League. Whether a move to Arsenal at this moment in time would be beneficial for Berahino's career remains to be seen, but the Telegraph also report that West Brom are keen to tie the striker down to a deal, with his current one expiring at the end of the 2014/15 season.
What do you think? Is Berahino better staying at West Brom to fulfill his potential and continue his development? Or is a move to Arsenal something the striker should consider? Leave your comments below.
