Breaking Down Arsenal's Key Stats in the Premier League This Season
Arsenal fans' favourite stat at the moment is surely the one that says their team are top of the Premier League.
After a difficult start on the opening day against Aston Villa, Arsenal have responded in fantastic fashion to win their next five Premier League games on the spin.
How have they managed to put together such an impressive run of form? Go to the next slide to discover the key stats that underline Arsenal's recent resurgence.
13 Goals Scored

Arsenal have become impressively prolific.
Despite the Gunners' failure to recruit a world-class centre-forward this summer, they're still finding the net on a regular basis. Only Manchester City have scored more league goals this season, and they spent the best part of £50 million on the attacking pair of Stevan Jovetic and Alvaro Negredo.
Tellingly, Arsenal have scored more than double the amount that neighbours and rivals Tottenham Hotspur have managed.
3 Set-Piece Goals

Arsenal are traditionally known for their intricate passing game, but this season they have shown a willingness to mix it up when required.
Largely due to the expert delivery of new signing Mesut Ozil, the Gunners have already scored three goals from set pieces.
With the likes of Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud in their ranks, Arsenal should be a growing threat from dead-ball situations as the season goes on.
Average Passing Accuracy: 85 Percent

Arsenal haven't abandoned their passing principles entirely. An average passing accuracy rate of 85 percent (via Squawka) bears comparison with any side in the league.
In the absence of Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini has been a key figure, helping keep Arsenal's fluid game going with his simple passing style. According to Squawka, his personal passing accuracy is a staggering 92 percent.
Aaron Ramsey: The Premier League's Third-Best Passer
4 of 7
According to Squawka's player rankings, Aaron Ramsey is the third most effective passer in the Premier League behind the Manchester-based pair of Yaya Toure and Michael Carrick.
This table takes into account the number, range and penetrative power of each player's passing. Ramsey already has two assists and five key passes to his name.
He is prepared to gamble and play the telling pass. Despite this, his accuracy is still a commendable 87 percent. Ramsey's development into an all-round midfielder has been key to Arsenal's success.
Average Shooting Accuracy: 60 Percent

Arsenal have become ruthlessly efficient on the counter.
Olivier Giroud has left his profligacy behind to become a lethal centre-forward, and he has been ably supported in the penalty area by the likes of Aaron Ramsey and—albeit briefly—Lukas Podolski.
According to Squawka, the Gunners have a shooting accuracy of 60 percent. When they carve out an opportunity, they usually take it.
Olivier Giroud Duels Won: 58 Percent

Olivier Giroud is adapting to the physical challenge of the Premier League.
This season, Squawka says he has won 58 percent of his one-on-one duels.
In the entire Premier League, only two forwards can better that ratio. One is the hugely athletic Christian Benteke, who might make a suitable January target for the Gunners as they seek to find a player who can rotate with a tiring Giroud.
The other, slightly surprisingly, is former Arsenal man Marouane Chamakh. Now at Crystal Palace, Chamakh is demonstrating that what he lacks in finishing finesse he makes up for with intelligent hold-up play.
Defensive Errors: 2

In recent seasons, defensive errors have been the bane of Arsenal's existence. At Christmas last year, no club had made more.
However, this year, Squawka suggests the Gunners have made just two, none of which have led directly to a goal.
With Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny installed at the heart of Arsenal's defence, the Gunners finally have a solid base on which to build.
