Lincecum Starts off Big Weekend Tonight for San Francisco
While tonight’s game is a must win with The Franchise on the hill, tomorrow’s and Sundays are more important games. The battle of Hall of Fame left handers should be an interesting one given the Mets lack of run support for Santana. If San Francisco can beat him that would be a huge morale boost.
The Sunday night game is especially key because it is on national TV and it is the last game of the homestand. If Cain can pitch well he puts himself on the national stage and builds up a great deal of momentum for himself and the team, which departs for San Diego and Seattle starting Tuesday. A big push this weekend could lead to some serious confidence for the team, which needs to make up as much ground on LA as they possibly can while Mannroid is out.
