The JoeSportsFan trio (Sebek, Bacott and Imig, for the newbies) started out the lucky number 13 episude pondering whether or not fans care if their home town team/players are “cheating”.  Does it matter?  Does it make winning any less significant?  Who the hell knows.  What we do know is that it led to repeated mocking of Bacott’s love for horse racing and an eventual Placido Polanco reference - which signaled the end of Segment One.

In fact, from here on out, all gratuitous references to Placido Polanco on the JoeSportsFan Show will result in an immediate foghorn and conclusion of the current segment.  Be on the lookout for a Placido Polanco reference near you.

We transitioned into the 13th installment of the illustrious “Wiffle Ball” round table, which has been deemed a “tremendous success” by 2 out of 3 JoeSportsFan mothers.  Wiffle Ball 13 featured Jimmy Traina (SI.com), Kevin Kaduk (Yahoo! Sports) and Eamonn Brennan (NBC Chicago and Yahoo! Sports).

Topics for this week’s Wiffle Ball segment include:

1.) You can whack any professional mascot in the head with a sack full of pennies.  Who you sluggin’ and why?

2.) You have the ability to choose the make/model of the prize automobile given to the World Series MVP this year.  What player and subsequent car choice would make the most humorous combo?

3.) You’re the captain of your adult mens softball team and you can pick one ex-professional athlete to round out your squad.  Who are you picking?

4.) You have the choice to bring the entire professional sports team - past or present - into a Battle Royale, Anchorman style.  Who are you bringing to ensure the greatest chance of ultimate victory?

5.) If you could transport any professional stadium of any sport into your home city because you’d like to watch your team play every home game in it, which would you choose?
