Free MLB Pick: OVER 10.5 Tampa Bay/Baltimore:
The defending American League Champion Rays come to Oriole Park tonight to open up a quick two game set with the Orioles and this one looks like it should be a high scoring affair. Tampa Bay sends Andy Sonnanstine (1-3 5.79 ERA) to the mound ot battle the Orioles and lefty Mark Hendrickson (1-4, 5.13 ERA). With the offensive talents of these clubs and the pitching problems these two starters have, 10.5 runs should be easy. Sonnanstine faces the O’s on April 10th and Baltimore knocked him around to the tune of 5 runs on 8 hits in just 4 2/3 innings. Hendrickson hasn’t won in his last 5 starts and is 0-4 while allowing 30 hits and 14 runs in 21 innings pitched in that time. He’ll try to break his slump against his former team, having pitched for the Rays from 2004-2006. The way these two offenses are clicking with superstars up and down each lineup (Longoria, Crawford, Pena, Jones, Roberts, Markakis..etc), this looks like a easily reachable number at 10.5

Free MLB Pick: San Francisco -135 over Washington:
This line just doesn’t make much sense from where we’re sitting. San Francisco is having a surprisingly nice season, sitting in second place in the NL West with a 17-14 record, including an impressive 11-4 at home. Washington, on the other hand has the worst record in the majors at 10-20 (5-13 on the road) and send a rookie to the mound (Jordan Zimmermann 2-1, 5.48 ) against one of the better starters in the league (Matt Cain 3-1, 2.61). The Giants pounded the Nats on Monday 11-7, and look to continue their hot hitting tonight. One story to certainly follow for Washington is Third Baseman Ryan Zimmerman (no relation to the pitcher) and his 29 game hitting streak. He is two games away from Vladimir Guerrero’s franchise best streak of 31 games in 1999. The Giants look like a great pick tonight. Look for Cain to dominate the Nats tonight, but hope Zimmerman can continue his hitting streak.
