Carlos Zambrano Hurts Himself; It's Time For a DH
The Chicago Cubs are in deep trouble. Carlos Zambrano's injury is the last thing they can afford as he is by for a difference maker and the face of the franchise.
He is likely a Hall of Famer and a 300-game winner if he stays healthy. Why the National League continues to have pitchers bat for themselves is so outdated.
Injuries of these big pitchers running down the base path occur more often than people may think. These guys are primarily used to throwing and not running and batting. It makes more sense to keep them in the dugout when their team is batting.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The only place on a baseball field any pitcher should be is around the mound. I don't want the Chicago Cub fans to make any more excuses to why they don't win the division this year, as I have heard it before.
In 1985, the Cubs were posed to repeat and make it to the playoffs again. they were in first place in early June and then one day Rick Sutcliffe came to bat. He ran down the base path and pulled a hamstring too like old Carlos.
It ended the season of the best pitcher on the team and was a wasted season for the Cubs. Pitchers have enough of a hard time worrying about keeping their arms healthy.
A DH rule would enable veterans with bad knees to keep playing and batting. Most pitchers strike out about half of the time anyway so it would make the game more interesting.
Great pitchers are rare and baseball needs as many of them on the field as possible. It just looks better for the game to see them throwing balls instead of swinging at them.
Bring the DH rule to the National League now.
