Detroit Tigers: April Had Some Pleasant Surprises
The month of April has been a good one for the Detroit Tigers and there have been some pleasant surprises as well.
Who would have guessed that Curtis Granderson would display such home run power at the plate? I am also very impressed with Brandon Inge, also hitting the long ball and excellent fielding. Miguel Cabrera is still as fearful hitter and pitchers are often pitching around him.
I also am impressed with Adam Everett's bat. Known for having a great glove, he has not been a easy out this first month. The only one I'm concerned about is Magglio Ordonez. He has been struggling to keep his average to .235, but I think he will come around when the weather warms up.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Check back at the end of May....He'll be back to his old self!
Here are my grades of the regular lineup:
Curtis Granderson: A
Placedo Polanco: B
Miguel Cabrera: A
Brandon Inge: B
Magglio Ordonez: D
Carlos Guillen: C
Marcus Thames: C
Adam Everett: B
Gerald Laird: C
I would like to see Granderson bunt more as well as Josh Anderson. With their speed, it would put a lot of pressure on the infielders. The suicide squeeze has been successful a few times this season,so it would come in handy for that as well.
It is good to see the pitching and defense doing so well especially when there were a few games when the Tigers weren't hitting, they have thrown a shutout. Zumeya's return will be a big factor.
See you at the end of May!
