Crazy Week for Dodger fans

This week has been crazy, not only for me but for the Dodgers. lets go back to Thursday. I was at work listening to MLB on XM. I hear them say that Manny has been suspended for fifty games. I was in shock. I guess I am naive. I didn't think he would do something like that. Then reports came out that he was prescibed something and that is what caused the suspension.

I am a Dodger fan first. I think the best quote I heard all week was from Doug Mietkiewicz "This is a team. This is not the 'Los Angeles Manny's,'" said Mientkiewicz,. I am disappointed that he hasn't showed up at the stadium.

The L.A. Daily new is reporting three days into his 50-game drug suspension, Manny Ramirez is yet to reunite with his teammates. Though he is allowed to workout with the team as long as he is out of uniform by the time the gates open, the suspended slugger didn't show at Dodger Stadium Saturday.

For the sake of the team Dodgers manager Joe Torre would like to see Ramirez pay his team a visit sooner than later. "I don't think addressing the team is necessary but I think it is important that the players get a chance to see him," Torre said. "I don't think we need anything formal in that regard."

Lets move on and talk baseball. Now is the time for everyone to show that they can win with or without Manny. I believe in them. I know that the Martins, Kemps, Loneys, I have been hearing about since they were in the minors can do it. I know they can do it.

I know Andre Ethier, who won't sign photos or take pictures with fans, needs to prove that he can hit with or with out Manny. I believe in the Dodgers, I know they can do it. I hope they believe they can do it.

Albuquerque is one game under .500 and in first place inthe PCL American South. Every position player who batted got a hit last night. Mitch Jones hit two home runs and had Six RBI's. Dee Brown had a Home run and five RBI's. Blake DeWitt and Jason Repko both hit home Runs. Repko Stole his eleventh base of the season.

Xavier Paul was called up to take the roster spot of Manny Ramirez. X was hitting .344 with fourteen RBI's and had eight stolen bases. He was put in the game last night at Dodger stadium to run for Mark Loretta. John-Ford Griffin takes Paul's place on the Isotopes' roster.
