Carolina Panthers Clawing Back to The Top in 2009'
Team Roster Knowledge/Team History
Coming off a 12-4 finish one season ago, expectations are high. But the panthers history has been proven to be grim for .500 seasons.
With all the majors weapons returning, a strong running attack that was top in the league last season, and a defense that made great strides but fell off late in the post season, the panthers on paper have the capabilities to be elite once again. But with the bad taste left by the shalacking that the Cardinals gave makes fans on edge.
If you were to ask Coach Fox and GM Hurney, they tend to believe in there veteran leadership and a strong understanding of what needs to be accomplished in the competitive NFC south division. Just solely on my person opinion, I honestly believe they have what it takes to win 10 to 11 games easy.
The line has suffered some hits but the starters and the future of the organization still remains in Jordan Gross. Two great running back in DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart.
A quarterback who has some question marks but has his teams trust and has proven to be reliable with a one of the greatest reciever in the teams short history in Steve Smith.
On the other side of the ball, we can prematurely count on Julius Peppers to anchor the Defensive line...for now. The Linebacker core is deep, young, and productive lead by pro bowl three-year performer Beason.
The Secondary has everything a coach wants. 1 lockdown cornerback in Chris Gamble, a future playmaker in Marshall, a hard-hitter in Harris, and the burner in Godfrey. And with the seasoned Kicker in John Kasay, expect that position to have no worry.
Injuries plague any team and one major blow to this team and they could spiral back to the middle of the pack quickly. Super Bowl bound Carolina panthers, here we go!
