Arizona Cardinals
1 of 32Camp Location: University of Phoenix Stadium (Glendale, AZ)
Veterans Report: July 25
First Practice: July 26
Camp End: August 22
The Cardinals enter the 2013 preseason with plenty of grime to wipe away from a disastrous 2012 campaign.
Bruce Arians takes over and begins to put his mark on the team in earnest on July 25, when the veterans report for camp. One of those veterans is Carson Palmer, whom the Cardinals hope will shore up a terrible quarterback situation.
Arizona's offense sank the team last year. Bringing in Arians and Palmer should alleviate those issues, but the team needs to gel quickly to have a prayer in a loaded NFC West.

Atlanta Falcons
2 of 32Camp Location: Flowery Branch headquarters (Flowery Branch, GA)
Veterans Report: July 25

Camp End: August 22
The Falcons finally won a playoff game last season, coming oh-so-close to a Super Bowl berth before a second-half collapse against the 49ers in the NFC Championship game.
As such, Atlanta enters the 2013 preseason with peak expectations. Newcomers Steven Jackson and Osi Umenyiora hope to dive in and integrate with the team quickly during training camp and ultimately help get that elusive Super Bowl berth for the team.

Baltimore Ravens
3 of 32Camp Location: Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (Annapolis, MD)
Quarterbacks and Rookies Report: July 24
First Practice: July 26
Public Practice No. 1: August 4, Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (Annapolis, MD)
Public Practice No. 2: August 11, M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore, MD)
Public Practice No. 3: August 18, Musting Stadium at Stevenson University (Owing Mills, MD)
Camp End: August 18
The parade has come and gone, and the champagne has dried up. Ravens players paid their visit to the White House. The championship is now a thing of the past.
Baltimore enters 2013 with plenty of question marks dogging the roster. Will they be able to find suitable replacements for team legends Ray Lewis and Ed Reed? Have they lost too much on that defense overall? Will Joe Flacco live up to that massive contract?
It all starts in training camp, where Ozzie Newsome's prowess as general manager will be tested.
"I believe the Ravens open camp next Wednesday. My hunch is Leach will be re-signed by then, unless Houston steps up.

Buffalo Bills
4 of 32Camp Location: St. John Fisher College (Pittsford, NY)
First Practice: July 28
Camp End: August 21
Buffalo has languished in the depths of the AFC East for so long that rumor has it that's where Bane was born and raised in the dark.
Chan Gailey has been removed from power, giving way to rookie head coach Doug Marrone. He brings his coaching philosophy over from Syracuse, and he needs to get the Bills on his track quickly during the preseason if he wants to take advantage of the weakened division.
It might be a year or two yet before the Bills compete for a playoff spot, but they can start building in earnest on July 28th.

Carolina Panthers
5 of 32Camp Location: Wofford College (Spartanburg, SC)
Quarterbacks and Rookies Report: July 21
First Practice: July 26
Camp End: August 13
Carolina boasts one of the NFL's most electrifying players under center, but the team has done little to help him move up in the NFC South since his arrival.
Cam Newton leads his team into his third preseason with high hopes. Has the defense turned a corner? Will someone step up across from Steve Smith? Can Newton get to the next level as a starter?
The answers to these questions begin formulating on July 25.
"8 more days until #Panthers players report to @woffordcollege for training camp. Football is getting closer. #GetReady

Chicago Bears
6 of 32Camp Location: Olivet Nazarene University (Bourbonnais, IL)
Players Report: July 25
First Practice: July 26
Camp End: August 14
After years of defensive-minded guidance from Lovie Smith, the Bears went in a new direction and hired offensive guru Marc Trestman as their new head coach.
He brings his West Coast-style offense to Chicago, where the team will embark on its new course. How well Jay Cutler adjusts to the new offense will be the biggest storyline from camp.
It will also be interesting to see how the defense responds to losing Smith and its leader, Brian Urlacher.

Cincinnati Bengals
7 of 32Camp Location: Paul Brown Stadium (Cincinnati, OH)
First Practice: July 26
Camp End: August 15
The Bengals are quickly becoming the Atlanta Falcons of the AFC.
They have made the playoffs two seasons in a row, but like the Falcons, they lost in their first try each time. A budding defense begins its quest for dominance on July 25 in training camp as Andy Dalton hopes to prove his doubters wrong.
They will be doing all of this under the lights and cameras of HBO's Hard Knocks crew, which takes its show to Cincinnati after spending last year in South Florida.

Cleveland Browns
8 of 32Camp Location: Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
Quarterbacks and Rookies Report: July 24
First Practice: July 26
Camp End: August 18
Perhaps no team is more eager to get the training camp rolling than Cleveland, which has dealt with nasty off-field issues stemming from criminal charges levied at new owner Jimmy Haslam III's company, Pilot Flying J.
Like the Saints after the bounty scandal, the Browns want to shift the focus on the field, where they are fielding a young squad under new leadership. Rob Chudzinski takes over for Pat Shurmur, and Norv Turner brings along his acumen as an offensive coordinator.
Can they capitalize on the talent Tom Heckert built in recent years? Or is training camp the beginning of yet another rebuilding project?

Dallas Cowboys
9 of 32Camp Location: City of Oxnard Fields (Oxnard, CA)
First Practice: July 21
Camp End: August 16
Will the mediocrity end?
The Cowboys have finished 8-8 for two years running, but optimism still abounds in Dallas. Tony Romo has quietly been one of the better quarterbacks in the league, even if his reputation says otherwise.
Jason Garrett returns for what could be his final training camp with the Cowboys as head coach if he can't get the team turned around. He has new help in 72-year-old Monte Kiffin, who surely aims to install a new 4-3 defense quickly this preseason.
"Jerry Jones, Cowboys confirm that Tony Romo is cleared for Sunday's start of preseason camp, can begin throwing crucial INTs immediately.

Detroit Lions
11 of 32Camp Location: Team facility (Allen Park, MI)
Rookies Report: July 22
First Practice: July 25
Camp End: August 9 (to the public)
The Lions head into training camp with a lot less offseason baggage than they had a year ago. No major arrests happened, and Titus Young is nowhere in sight.
The serenity could provide a good launching pad for a young team poised to bounce back from an abysmal 2012 campaign. Jim Schwartz has his work cut out for him, but he has plenty of talent to work with.

Houston Texans
13 of 32Camp Location: Methodist Training Center (Houston, TX)

Houston is Cincinnati's personal demon in the playoffs, but the Texans haven't done much more than that in the playoffs.
They rev things up this preseason on July 25, but only a handful of practices will be open to the public. There they will be able to catch a glimpse of the NFL's biggest monster, J.J. Watt.
Other players will be sweating out too, of course, namely rookie DeAndre Hopkins, who gives Andre Johnson a legitimate running mate for the first time since he came into the league.

New owner. New regime. Same bad roster.
Well, it's not quite the same, but the Jaguars have an uphill battle in the short term. Blaine Gabbert will be given one last shot to prove he isn't an epic bust, but he will have to beat out Chad Henne for the job.
Maurice Jones-Drew is making his way back from a broken foot. It will be interesting to see if he can regain his form quickly.

In his place is a coach who led his team to consecutive disastrous seasons. His name is Andy Reid, though, so everything should be all right. Right?
Perhaps a fresh start is all he needed. He will get one with the Chiefs, and the spotlight comes on when training camp opens on the 26th.

No more Hard Knocks. Just some hard knocks as Joe Philbin cranks up his high-octane practices for his second training camp as a head coach.
The Dolphins have some interesting expectations given their recent history. They are the favorites to knock off the Patriots in the AFC East, but is that merely a mirage created by offseason controversy up north?
One thing is for sure, there is plenty of talent in Miami after a flurry of moves this offseason. Can the team gel quickly during training camp?

The Vikings would have been the unlikeliest of playoff teams last season were it not for the unexpected Colts. But they came in a close second.
The reason they made it there was the reigning MVP, Adrian Peterson. He'll have a full training camp since he won't be recovering from knee surgery, a scary thought for opposing defenses.
Can Christian Ponder buck his critics? He'll start answering those questions on July 26.

And the Roger Goodell Award for Most Tumultuous Offseason goes to the New England Patriots.
Like the Saints of yesteryear, New England heads into training camp with plenty to forget about. Bill Belichick took a chance on the circus Tim Tebow brings with him, but Tebowmania was engulfed by the Aaron Hernandez story.
Surely nobody wants to get down to football more than Belichick, who puts his team into action on July 26.

So close. No cigar.
Colin Kaepernick nearly accomplished the improbable, losing the Super Bowl to the Ravens in dramatic fashion. This came one year after Alex Smith nearly led them to the championship game.
Will the 49ers get back there and win it all, or will regression hit the team hard? It rides on Kaepernick—who will be without his best receiver—and that fearsome defense.
It's a good thing training camp is starting so 49ers fans can have something to talk about other than hats and nude magazine spreads.
The 49ers will not have any practices open to the public because of stadium construction.

First Practice: July 25

This is Mike Shanahan's year. If the Redskins falter, it could be the end of his tenure in Washington.
The Redskins hobbled into the playoffs last season thanks in no small part to rookie Robert Griffin III. He shredded his knee in that game, but he appears to be well ahead of schedule in his rehab.
It will be interesting to see what he can do during training camp.
