WWE's Greatest Hits of the Week on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and More

Ryan DilbertJun 8, 2018

WWE-related social media this week before Money in the Bank 2013 focused on a few timely items.

Triple H and WWE officially opened a performance center in Florida that will train and develop the next generations of Superstars. Bray Wyatt and his "brothers" made their debut on Monday, and several Superstars had thoughts to share on that.

In addition, WWE's Instragram highlighted another star's tattoos, Rob Van Dam spoke about his return and Money in the Bank predictions were varied and prevalent. From Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, here are the most interesting WWE social media hits of the week.

July 7: Randy Orton's Tattoo

1 of 6

WWE's Instagram page has often been the home for fans to take a closeup look at Superstar's tattoos, and this time around, it's Randy Orton's only color tattoo that gets the spotlight.

Most of his upper body is covered in skulls and tribal designs, but in honor of his daughter, Orton has a rose with her name and date of birth.

The artwork takes on a new meaning now that Orton and his wife were recently divorced. The rose serves as a symbolic way to keep his little girl with him as travels around the world handing out RKOs.

July 8: Reaction to the Wyatt Family’s Arrival

2 of 6

The world eater and his devotees finally debuted, crashing Monday's WWE Raw by walloping Kane to the point where he may not compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match on Sunday.

Bray Wyatt's arrival was met with buzz—both from fans and from folks in the industry. Dustin Rhodes (Goldust) praised the gimmick on Twitter:

"

The absolute greatest gimmick since goldust, @WWEBrayWyatt and wyatt family make their presence known tonight! #raw #FollowTheBuzzards HOT

— GOLDUST (@DUSTIN_RHODES1) July 8, 2013"

Chris Jericho handed out high praise as well:

"

I Said it before and I’ll say it again…@WWEBrayWyatt is going to a MAJOR player in the @wwe #heshere #lambmask

— Chris Jericho (@IAmJericho) July 9, 2013"

Drew McIntyre didn't rule out 3MB merging with the Wyatt Family, given that they spend some time in the showers first:

"

@LuvmikeMIZanin: @TheDrewMcIntyre @espn @nytimes #InterviewDrew I think 3MB should ring in BrayWyatt and his cohorts. Agree?” If they wash

— Drew McIntyre (@TheDrewMcIntyre) July 9, 2013"

NXT Diva prospect Emma summed up NXT's recent impact on the main roster, Wyatt included:

July 10: Celebrating Obscure Tag Teams

3 of 6

Not every tag team can be as memorable as The Road Warriors.

Several duos over the years, whether in WWE, WCW or elsewhere, have disbanded without much fanfare, mostly forgotten by the fans. WWE highlighted these teams on its Facebook page.

WWE posted an article remembering teams like Vicious and Delicious, Southern Justice, The Faces of Fear and Lightning Express. Fans can also check out a photo gallery and video playlist of those little-known teams.

July 10: Rob Van Dam Interview

4 of 6

WWE posted an exclusive interview with Rob Van Dam on its Facebook page. In it, he talks about the reception he gets in Philadelphia, his thoughts on winning the WWE title, how he came to WWE in 2001 and details around his return at Money in the Bank.

When asked about his age and how much it will affect him, Van Dam said, "I have an unlimited amount in the tank, and that will be the case until my spirit changes. I don't have this 'age thing' that other people seem to have. I still am at my best."

Van Dam doesn't age? That's good news for fans and bad news for his opponents.

July 11: Opening of the WWE Performance Center

5 of 6

WWE's just-opened performance center is already creating buzz.

Triple H and the governor of Florida were among the folks there to commemorate the center's official opening. Twitter and WWE's Facebook page highlighted some of the excitement.

WWE shared a photo gallery of the ceremony and of the facility itself. In Triple H's speech, he said that "today is a new beginning and a milestone for the WWE."

The former world champ also spoke about the center in an interview with Bill Apter:

July 11 and 12: Money in the Bank Predictions

6 of 6

Money in the Bank ladder matches are tough to pick as they have so many participants, but that doesn't stop writers and fans from trying.

Some folks think that Dean Ambrose and Daniel Bryan are the favorites, while others think Wade Barrett and Rob Van Dam will leave Philadelphia with briefcases in hand.

David Shoemaker, known as The Masked Man, offered his odds for each ladder match entrant:

"
