WWE Raw: Rumors, News, Preview and More for July 1

There are just two episodes of Raw remaining before July 14’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view, and the WWE Universe should expect major storyline development this week and the top feuds in the company to really heat up.

The tension between CM Punk and Paul Heyman is boiling over, the path of destruction from Daniel Bryan continues, and the excitement surrounding both Money in the Bank ladder matches have expectations for this week’s Raw through the roof.

With so much action slated for this week’s episode of Raw, there is little doubt this will be an exciting Monday night no wrestling fan can afford to miss.

Heyman Guys Teaming Up

As announced last week on Raw, Monday’s show will feature a tag team match between the Prime Time Players and the newly formed duo of CM Punk and Paul Heyman’s client Curtis Axel. While Punk has claimed he doesn’t need Axel’s help, how the match will break down is the main focus of the WWE Universe heading into this week.

Question on Everyone’s Mind: Is Heyman Planning to Cross Punk?

When Punk and Heyman embraced last week, it was clear from Punk's reaction that something much more devious was boiling under the surface. While Heyman offered the services of the new intercontinental champion in the tag match, this could be a way for the manager to cause Punk to win and shake his psyche heading into Money in the Bank.

Punk told Heyman he didn’t want Heyman ringside for his matches anymore. As much as Heyman accepted his friend’s request at the time, the manager has injected himself into Punk's business at every possible chance. With Axel and his new mentor hitting the ring to help Punk this week in the tag team match, Heyman will once again be ringside for Punk.

This is going to get wild.

Daniel Bryan is on a Roll

Just in case you have been living under a rock, there is no star in the WWE as hot as Bryan right now. After beating Randy Orton via submission on last week’s Raw, Bryan caused his former teammate Kane to lose when he tossed him back into the ring only to get hit with the RKO by Orton. Judging by Bryan’s smile, the former world champion wasn't too remorseful.

Question on Everyone’s Mind: What’s Next for Bryan?

The WWE has teased tension between Kane and Bryan for weeks, but the everlasting battle with Orton doesn’t look to be completely over either. While there are many reports that Bryan could be fighting Cena at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship, per F4WOnline (via Wrestling Inc.), the company looks to be setting the stage for an eventual battle between the former Team Hell No teammates.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Main Event Stars

While many people have questioned Bryan’s ability to be a main event Superstar in the past, the last year of his career has been a clinic on how to prove everyone wrong. Not only is he the best pure in-ring worker in the WWE—his match with Orton last week was great—but Bryan has also become one of the most interesting characters on the mic in the business. No matter what is next, it is guaranteed to be interesting.
