Little Giants Fan Punishes Poor Dad for Dropping Foul Ball

Gabe ZaldivarJun 3, 2018

Life isn't always home runs and foul-ball souvenirs.

MLB.com brings us a wonderful video that proves a serene and pleasant day at the park can quickly tear a family apart.

In the sixth inning of Sunday's game between the Giants and Marlins at AT&T Park, a gloomy day gets all the more depressing when a foul ball hits a father square in the chest, only to have it bounce off him and into the hands of some other lucky fan in the section below.

That would be enough frustration for just about anyone, but it gets worse for the man sitting in what look to be seats designated for the Muppets' Statler and Waldorf.

Right after the ball bounces off this guy's chest, his son decides to brutally remind his father that he had one job for the day, and that was leaving the ballpark with a souvenir the baseball gods delivered on a silver platter.

The look on the Giants fan's face after the silly little ordeal is priceless. It's almost an "I give up because I can't win" expression.

He is just sitting there trying to enjoy what he thought would be a Matt Cain win over an NL East bottom dweller in the Miami Marlins.

Instead, he takes one off the chest and gets battered by a kid who came so close to leaving the game with a baseball treasure.

Oh, and the Giants went on to lose the game, 7-2, and with it the series, making it fairly apparent this guy should have just stayed home and watched the game from the comfort of his couch.

Foul balls can't hurt you there.
