Red Sox Crank It Up to Eleven
We’d probably hop on this bandwagon too, but I don’t think there’s any room.
The Boston Red Sox (13-6) have pushed their amazing winning streak to eleven games, thanks in part to another exciting ninth-inning Jason Bay longball. This one came as a three-run shot off Cleveland Indians “reliever” Kerry Wood for a 3-1 victory.
Reigning American League Cy Young award winner Cliff Lee, who couldn’t buy run support with his entire salary, matched knuckleballer Tim Wakefield strikes for zeroes through the first seven, but it wasn’t enough to give the Indians a win.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
So, yeah. Welcome to the Jason Bay show. Their last series, in sweeping fashion against the New York Yankees, was highlighted by a two-out, two-run homer in the ninth off Mariano Rivera this weekend. Over his last four games, the outfielder has nine hits with two home runs and nine RBI. Nice work.
Meanwhile, the Tribe continues to have a rough time in the wins department. The team is now hanging out in the basement of the AL Central with a 7-13 record.
