Sharks Ducks Game Four: Welcome to Heartbreak.

The San Jose Sharks played an awful game four. In fact it was down right embarrassing to see how this President Cup winning team didn’t show up when they needed to the most. The Anaheim Ducks showed that in the battle for California; they are top dog when it matter most.

Now I know there is still a chance for a come back. I’m telling myself to believe, I’m trying hard to still have hope for this season but the facts are simple.

1. Patrick Marleau—Is probably one of the softest captains in the NHL & by being so in such an important game showed little heart. Todd McLellan has come out and stood up for his team’s captain but sadly Patrick didn’t justify it with last night’s performance. Marleau has one goal; no assist’s and has six shots in 4 games. WOW, way to lead this team into the promise land Patty!!

1. Joe Thornton—Has not been a leader at all. Take that “A” off his chest; it’s mocking all other alternative captains out there. His play this off season has turned what I thought was an elite player into an expendable asset. Jumbo’s just as poor performance as Marleau has totaled to an impressive no goals, two assists, and a minus four. Let’s not forget he has eleven shots. WOW!!! Amazing play Big Joe, maybe next year you can set a goal to flop even worse than this year.

I’m calling out the Sharks leadership, every Sharks fan should. If they want to put it all out on the table on Saturday night and show they deserve to be the leaders they claim to be, than good. I will happily shut up but another no show and I will call for someone’s head. I’m sick of hearing how good the Ducks are. I’m sick of hearing how good Jonas Hiller has been. I’m sick of hearing about Bobby Ryan. I’M SICK OF IT ALL!

I’m not a fair weather fan; I’ve watched this team for season after season and they end with the same result. It breaks my heart to haft to questions the leadership of this team, as a fan and as a person. It’s killer to not have full faith that a come back is possible. But maybe I’m just used to it, too jaded by past seasons failures. What ever the case is, right now I have no happy endings, no nice upbeat spins on last night’s game, just this: Get out there and prove you bleed teal and black, like me, like all Sharks fans everywhere. Prove that you are the champions I know you are, that Sharks fan everywhere know you are.

Don’t talk, in fact shut up and just PROVE IT!
