WWE WrestleMania 29: Matches That Will Have the Most Predictable Outcomes

Brian MaziqueApr 7, 2013

There are a few matches scheduled for WrestleMania 29 that are difficult to predict. Do the WWE and the Undertaker think enough of CM Punk to allow him to be the one to snap the streak?

That question is what makes that match so intriguing. While that match and others carry some intrigue, there are a few others that most fans should be able to see the results coming a mile away.

Which matches am I speaking of? I'm glad you asked...

Ryback Has to Defeat Mark Henry

No superstar has received a stronger push over the last year than Ryback.

It is clear the WWE has immense plans for his future. He has gone through the routine squash-match segment of his buildup, and he was vaulted rather quickly into a main event against CM Punk at Hell in a Cell.

That particular event sent him on a downward spiral of sorts—at least as it relates to pay-per-views. Ryback has come out on the short end of the stick in five straight feature events.

There is no way he loses in a sixth straight. I love Mark Henry, but he will not be inducting Ryback into the Hall of Pain.

It Is Tons of Funk and the Funkadactyls Turn to Knock off the Rhodes Scholars and the Bellas

This has been a bit of a seesaw feud, but if you look back at the official matches, the Rhodes Scholars and Bellas have come up with the most pins.

TOF and the Funkadactyls have had their moments in regards to "impromptu" scraps, but they haven't had their hands raised as much as their opponents on Sunday night.

Because I don't believe this feud is constructed to erect either group above the other, it only seems logical that Naomi or Cameron will secure the victory with a pin on one of the Bellas.

Hopefully, this will serve to push TOF into the tag team title picture, prompt the resurgence of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow's singles career and add some much-needed excitement to the bland Divas division.

John Cena Will Defeat the Rock...But How?

I'm pretty certain Cena is going to win the WWE championship on Sunday, but there is a question of how.

The Rock's growing cinema success will cause his availability to diminish, even more than the part-time schedule he's working with the WWE now.

That said, it doesn't seem as though he will fall by a clean pin, and certainly not by submission.

I have a theory that I believe makes sense.

I predict John Laurinaitis will seek revenge against the Rock for dropping the People's Elbow on him on the March 29 episode of Smackdown.

He'll interfere or arrange the interference, and Cena will take advantage.

We'll be left with a cliffhanger and questions of whether Cena knew about the ploy or was in on it. We'll go through the next few weeks with Cena trying to prove his innocence, but meanwhile, we'll have a new WWE champion.

That's my bold prediction for Sunday's event, let's see how close my prediction comes to the truth.

Follow me, because wrestling is a part of our lives.
