Jasonย Pominville

With 30 points and currently sitting in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, the Buffalo Sabres are going nowhere, and with Jasonย Pominvilleย turning in a solid season, he is a prime target to be traded.

Pominville has 23 points already this season, and he is as consistent a presence that a general manager is going to find. Pominville has missed just nine games in the last seven years.

Bruceย Garriochย of theย Ottawa Sunย reports that all of this leads to the Sabres being willing to deal their captain and plenty of teams finding interest in him.

At this point, it would be a shock if Pominville was not traded.ย

Jarome Iginla

With Jarome Iginla, it is not a question of if he will be traded but where he will be traded. He's been heavily involved in rumors, and it simply appears that the Calgary Flames are waiting for the best one.

The 35-year-old is still a very productive player. He's scored 22 points this season, and he would be a quality pickup for any contender.

Iginla has a no-trade clause in his contract, and it is speculated that he would approve a trade to theย Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings,ย Detroit Red Wings,ย Anaheim Ducks or Vancouver Canucks.ย

The Pittsburgh Penguins appear to be making a hard charge, as ESPN'sย Pierreย LeBrun reports that the club is still looking to add Iginla despite recently acquiring Brenden Morrow.ย

Miikka Kiprusoff

Iginla isn't the only member of the Flames who might be on his way out of Calgary.

The goalie is a nice piece for a team looking to add depth in the net. This has led to speculation that the Toronto Maple Leafs would make a push for Kiprusoff.ย

ESPN'sย Victoriaย Matiashย (subscription required) comments on the speculation and knows that the Leafs would in fact like to add a goalie:

"

Lots of twitter noise about Leafs interest in Kiprusoff as reported onย TSN. Of course Leafs will inquire IF he's available. Due diligence ... Don't confuse interest with current trade talks or offers. Toronto would like to add a vet goalie. IF Kipper is avail, calls will be made ...

"

The 36-year-oldย Kiprusoff wouldn't be going to Toronto to replace James Reimer. Reimer is having an excellent season.

This would be a move for depth and to give Reimer a veteran with plenty of experience to back him up.
