D-League's Chris Roberts Leaps 7-Footer in Single Bound for Monster Dunk
The Austin Toros' Chris Roberts got the ball with toweringย Sioux Falls Skyforceย big man Will Foster standing in the way. No matter, because he decided to dunk over him anyway.ย
I will assume that most of you are not entirely locked into the D-League, so I understand if you missed this monster dunk that took place in a recent game between the Toros and Skyforce.ย
In the waning moments of the first quarter, Roberts gets the ball with a seemingly open laneโthat is, until Foster slides over to front the driving player.ย

It's too bad for Foster that he makes it in time, because he ends up becoming the unfortunate victim of this D-League delight. After some digging, it seems Deadspin had this video on Thursday after Foster's agent got ahold of them.ย
Thanks to their report, we can tell you Roberts isย 6'4" and dunked over a center who stands an otherwise looming 7'5".ย
The guard came over to Austinย from the Idaho Stampedeย after being traded for two players in January.ย At the time, Toros GM Sean Marks was happy to deliver high praise for Roberts, via NBA.com:
"While trading Justin Dentmon was a difficult decision we are thrilled to welcome Chris Roberts to the Toros.ย Chris is a talented young player with a big upside and a bright future ahead of him.
"
OK, that reads more like an excerpt from every single NFL combine preview ever. Still, I bet Marks never thought one of his player's lesser-known talents is leaping over defenders.ย
It seems like fairly useful information.ย
