Big Trouble In Little Tampa Bay

So the Bucs finally take care of a not so important position—Tight-end.

Kellen Winslow Jr. signs a six-year, 30-plus million dollar deal. It's something the Bucs needed, but they didn't have to throw that much money away on player of Winslow's pedigree. They have more important things to worry about than the tight-end position.

The Bucs went into the offseason with the most money to spend than any NFL team. They now have to worry about get other key positions like QB, DT, CB, and OLB.

With the release of future Hall-of-Famer and Tampa-Two mainstay Derrick Brooks, the Bucks should really look to the draft for a LB. James Laurinaitis and Rey Maualuga are really the talk of the draft for the ILB position and for the OLB Aaron Curry, Brian Cushing, and Clay Mattews are the top three.

It's not looking to good for the Bucs this year.

The signing of Kellen Winslow has filled the void, but the defense has aged and the offense has no QB and only one WR. There is no room for error in the NFL and the Bucs new coach is not going to get off on the right foot.

The Bucs really need to pull it together if they are even going to come away with six wins. The only good thing about six wins is the Bucs will be able to get Florida Gators QB Tim Tebow as their new face of the franchise.

They are happy to have Kellen Winslow because of his speed and his ability to go over the middle, which is something the Bucs haven't had since Keyshawn Johnson. Winslow coming off a half way decent season with the Browns, but being as injury plagued as he has been, it's really a crap shoot on how he is going to be in 2009.

Now if there are no problems with injury or Terrell Owens type issues then Kellen Winslow will roughly get 60 catches and about 775 yards with eight receiving TD.

With the Bucs getting ready for the upcoming season then only things on the Bucs mind is did they spend to much for one player or was he just the right move?
