Upsets Will Rule Round of 64

The college basketball landscape has been littered with unpredictability and big-time upsets this season. Expect more of the same in the NCAA tournament.

The tournament always has some early-round upsets in store, but there are several second-round pairings this year that don't bode well for highly ranked teams. Ohio State, Illinois, UCLA and Arizona should all be on upset alert in the Round of 64.

Gonzaga Will Earn the Respect it Deserves

The Bulldogs are the most overlooked No. 1 seed in the tournament this year. At 31-2, Gonzaga will be a team to watch out for in the West Region.

The Bulldogs are shooting 50.4 percent from the field as a team this season, and that kind of efficient offense creates a recipe for a deep tournament run. Getting hot will be difficult but staying hot shouldn't be much of a challenge.

The West is shaping up to be the weakest region in the tournament this year, and the Bulldogs have arguably the easiest path to the Final Four of any No. 1 seed. No team in the top half of the region should slow down Gonzaga's potent offense.

Indiana Will Make an Early Exit

Arguably the best team in the country this season, Indiana fell victim to a loaded Big Ten Conference five times in the second half of the season. As good as the Hoosier are, they've shown some weakness this year.

The top portion of the East Region isn't particularly dangerous, but don't be surprised to see NC State give Indiana a run for its money in the Round of 32. The Wolfpack matches up well with the Hoosiers, and a matchup between the two squads could prove to be one of the most exciting of the early rounds.

Indiana cannot be discredited after a terrific regular season, but a loss in the Big Ten tournament is some cause for concern. If the Hoosiers cannot find some momentum in the first two rounds, an early exit will be in the cards for one of the nation's best teams.
