Carolina Panthers: Defense in Review
Many Panther fans are worried about the defensive line next year. It is critical for the Carolina Panthers to pick up a defensive tackle in this year's draft early on. Even if the Panthers do trade Peppers, I think they will still go DT in the early rounds.
I see nothing wrong with Charles Johnson, Hilee Taylor, and Tyler Brayton as our defensive ends. I still imagine they would pick up another DE for some depth in the draft.
The linebacking corps is very strong with Jon Beason and Thomas Davis. Diggs is getting old and he was not the best, but he was dependable. I honestly see Landon Johnson competing for his spot next year and he has a good chance of being the starter. I thought he did very well for the Bengals and I think he will step up next year.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
We do need a cornerback in this year's draft. I've also heard the Panthers may resign Ken Lucas at a lower price which is a great idea in my opinion. Panthers don't have many holes to fill on defense, but they will not get it done with C.J. Wilson in my opinion.
I think a lot of the secondaries problems last year was due to the d-line not getting enough pressure. Kemo is a great run stopper, but not a pass rusher and Lewis is more of a situational player and Brayton is more of a run stuffer also.
There is always Godfrey who played good at times last year, but not bad for a rookie and Chris Harris is one of the hardest hitting safeties out there.
The Panthers are not in that bad of a situation even if they keep Peppers, we can fill most of our holes with some good drafting.
