The San Francisco Giants, Year 2015
The Giants are going to be good soon if not right now, but if you are a giants fan like me the year you should be looking forward to is 2015.
After reading Danny Penzas' great article on the San Jose Giants great roster it got me thinking about the years when the Giants will be good and decided that the best or at least the start of the best would be 2015. After looking into the prospects I have decided that the giants roster will be something like this.
AGE Avg. R HR SB Rbi
1 CF Wendell Fairley 27 .299 120 21 32 59
2 2B Nick Noonan 26 .302 95 22 15 87
3 RF Rafael Rodriguez 23 .309 112 33 25 105
4 1B Angel Villalona 24 .286 125 45 5 134 MVP
5 LF Roger Kieschnick 28 .277 98 29 12 98
6 C Buster Posey 28 .321 86 18 10 92
7 3B Conor Gillaspie 28 .305 79 15 11 80 better fielder
7 3B Pablo Sandoval 28 .347 84 20 1 90 better hitter
8 SS Ehire Adrianza 25 .292 75 2 21 50 Gold Glove
Rotation
Age W - L Era K
Tim Lincecum 31 23 - 3 2.72 257 Cy Young
Madison Bumgarner 25 18 - 5 2.99 248
Matt Cain 30 16 - 6 3.35 195
Scott Barnes 27 13 - 9 4.01 131 only before Alderson for right/left...
Tim Alderson 26 15 - 5 3.87 167
Closer
Age Era K SV BLSV
Brian Wilson 33 2.67 98 47 6
or
Aaron King 26 1.22 111 58 1 this depends on if he stays a starter and if Wilson is still effective at 33 if he is still a starter could be in the rotation instead of Barnes
Record
107 - 55 World Series Champions
I believe that the Giants could actually win the series before this but 2015 will be the Giants best year or at least the beginning of their best years.
