WWE.com: WWE Releases TNA Star Jeff Hardy's Alumni Profile

Luis CamposJun 6, 2018

Good news for fans of the "Charismatic Enigma."

Earlier this week, the WWE released an alumni profile of its former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Hardy

The move is an odd one, considering that Hardy is currently under contract with the WWE's rival promotion, TNA.

This, however, is not the first time that the WWE released an alumni profile for a former employee now in a rival promotion.

In addition to Hardy, the WWE has also featured current TNA stars such as Rob Van Dam and Sting—who has never officially wrestled for the WWE.

Similar to other alumni profiles on WWE.com, Jeff Hardy's profile features a list of the star's accomplishments during his tenure with the WWE and other WWE-owned properties—Hardy's accomplishments with TNA are not acknowledged.

Under career highlights, Hardy's profile references his tenure as WWE Champion and as World Heavyweight Champion, as well as his other championship reigns—enough to earn him the honor of being the WWE's eleventh grand-slam champion, having collected almost all titles in the promotion.

Hardy last worked for the WWE in 2009, when after losing to CM Punk—under pre-set match stipulations—the high-flyer was "forced" to leave the promotion. In reality, Hardy's departure was scheduled to allow the star to nurse his injuries.

After his 2009 WWE departure, Hardy eventually found himself at TNA, where he is currently the promotion's World Heavyweight Champion.

The WWE's feature on their former star could be an attempt to lure back Hardy onto their roster. With the WWE's tag team division at a recent high, Hardy (and his brother Matt) could be the necessary catalyst to help raise the division to its former glory.
