Maquedius Bain has that same immense potential that Greg Gilmore has at defensive tackle. Bain is a big recruit and should become a big-time player on the interior of LSU's line in the next season or two. He should end up behind Gilmore as a freshman, and in time, he has the potential to be a starter once the depth chart clears.
Andy Dodd

Much like Josh Butte, Dodd is going to be a very important depth player on LSU's offensive line. He's also going to be Butte's competition for Williford's starting spot, eventually. Dodd has great size at 6'4'', 325 pounds, and he's a big out-of-state recruit for the Tigers.
Michael Patterson

Analysis
Ricky Jefferson could be a major deep threat for LSU in time. He has good size and he runs a 4.41 40, according to 247Sports. The depth chart in front of him is pretty solid, but in a season or two, expect to see Jefferson as an option at wideout, where can stretch the defense vertically for LSU.
Tevin Lawson
24 of 29Weight: 275 lbs
Position: DT
Stars: 3-star
School: Denham Springs High School (La.)
Other Finalists: Ole Miss
Commit Date: 3/30/12
Analysis
Tevin Lawson has great potential as a defensive tackle at 6'4'', 275 pounds. He'll be able to play either the 1- or 3-technique, and that versatility will help him make his way up the depth chart. He also represents another big in-state commitment for LSU. In time, Lawson could be a major player on LSU's defensive line.
Karl Malone Jr.
25 of 29Weight: 285 lbs
Position: C
Stars: 3-star
School: Cedar Creek (La.)
Other Finalists: N/A
Commit Date: 3/31/12
Analysis
Karl Malone Jr. is going to be a very important player for LSU. Elliott Porter should be the starter now that P.J. Lonergan is gone, and Malone has the skill set to compete with Ben Domingue to be the No. 2 guy. Once both Porter and Domingue move on, though, Malone Jr. should be the guy at center for LSU.
Lewis Neal
26 of 29Weight: 235 lbs
Position: WDE
Stars: 3-star
School: James B. Hunt High School (N.C.)
Other Finalists: Tennessee, Ohio State
Commit Date: 7/4/12
Analysis
Lewis Neal is another big defensive end recruit for LSU. Needless to say, the Tigers have done a great job replacing both Barkevious Mingo and Sam Montgomery. Considering the depth chart and the amount of defensive ends LSU has brought in through this class, Neal could be a good redshirt candidate.
Jeremy Cutrer
27 of 29Weight: 175 lbs
Position: S
Stars: 4-star
School: J. Sumner High School (LA)
Other Finalists: Ole Miss
Commit Date: 2/6/12
Analysis
Kevin Spears
28 of 29Weight: 190 lbs
Position: WR
Stars: 4-star
School: Holy Cross High School (La.)
Senior Stats: 61 REC, 1,069 YD, 11 TD
Other Finalists: Louisiana Tech
Commit Date: 1/19/13
Analysis
Kevin Spears has very good size at 6'3'', 190 pounds, and he's another big wideout recruit for LSU. He's also the No. 13 recruit from Louisiana (247Sports Composite), so he's an in-state win for the Tigers. He'll be an important depth player right away and could work his way into the rotation starting as a sophomore and definitely as an upperclassmen.
Duke Riley
29 of 29LSU was recently able to flip Duke Riley away from TCU. He's a talented in-state recruit, and that will go down as a notable recruiting win for Miles and his staff. The Tigers are pretty set at outside linebacker for now, so Riley may want to consider a redshirt season.
