Charlie Manuel Explodes, Other Philadelphia Phillies News

The Phillies got rocked by the Yankees Monday at Steinbrenner Field, 12-0.ย  It wasnโ€™t pretty. Sloppy defense (two errors) and lack of hitting (six hits; 0-for-3 with men in SP) irked Philsโ€™ manager Charlie Manuel.

โ€œWe made mistakes,โ€ Charlie said. โ€œWe made a helluva lot of [bleepinโ€™] mistakes.โ€

โ€œI think any game like that pisses you off and the best thing you can do is [bleepin'] get out there and get on that [bleepinโ€™] bus and forget about that sonofabitch. That was a horse[bleep] [bleepinโ€™] game and if I played in a [bleepinโ€™] game like that, Iโ€™d definitely [bleepinโ€™] take some good inventory of myself. That was a horse[bleep][ bleepinโ€™] game. They donโ€™t get much worse than that. It was terrible.โ€
