NHL Fan Dances Away Lockout Blues with Robyn Parody "Call the Union"

NHL action isn't quite the same this year. 

Of course, the lockout continues to keep hockey stars off the ice, leaving NHL fans to lose their minds and record the process for our amusement. 

This beautiful parody (h/t With Leather) is one hockey fan's plea with the league during the lockout, taking from the Robyn song, "Call Your Girlfriend." 

"Call the Union" is just about the emotions all hockey fans are feeling, utter frustration that can well up so immensely that you sometimes find yourself singing and dancing. 

Per ESPN, the lockout headed into its 53rd day on Wednesday as both sides continued their discussions. 

The hope is a compromise could be struck shortly, but with the end of the year looming and games like New Year's Day's Winter Classic being cancelled, we may have to settle for fan-made videos to satiate NHL needs. 

That's right, this may be the best action we will get pertaining to the league. 

Thankfully, it's a rather hilarious video of one Canucks bro who just wants to sing his heart out and possibly melt the ongoing disagreement. 

As the YouTube description states, this "impassioned plea" may have no impact on the overall hockey landscape, but it was damn enjoyable to watch.
