Bleacher Report's Week 6 NFL Highlight Tape
With around 1,500 active players on a weekly basis, the NFL never fails to provide us with phenomenal plays, and Week 6 was no different.
From one-handed catches to blocked punts, the elite players of this league always provide us with a dizzying array of spectacular displays that feature athleticism, grace and pure grit.
These plays are the biggest reason we come back week after week and year after year to watch this game. Without further ado, here is your Week 6 Bleacher Report highlight reel.
Mike Williams Makes an Incredible Adjustment for the Touchdown
1 of 12The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs were scoreless near the end of the first quarter when wide receiver Mike Williams changed things in a hurry.
Josh Freeman threw the ball up for grabs, and Williams made an incredible in-air adjustment to snag the ball in front of Chiefs corner Stanford Routt. He then outran both Routt and Myron Lewis to take it 62 yards for the critical first score of the game.
The Bucs went on to win this game in convincing fashion by a score of 38-10.
Josh Gordon's One-Handed Catch for the Touchdown
2 of 12Brandon Weeden and Josh Gordon are starting to make the Cleveland Browns look smart for taking a chance on them.
Gordon caught two touchdown passes against the New York Giants in Week 5, and then he capped off that breakout performance with another impressive display of athleticism on this 71-yard one-handed gem of a catch.
Gordon's speed and talent is clearly evident on this play, and it won't be long until he's the No. 1 receiver for the Browns.
Teeebow, Whoa-OH-Oh
3 of 12You can't have a highlight reel without a Tim Tebow sighting, right?
Tebow executed this fake punt perfectly. He pretended to run to the left while linebacker Nick Bellore snuck out on the right side and found himself wide open for the 23-yard gain on 4th-and-11.
Rex Ryan had been planning to use Tebow in this fashion since the team acquired him, and I guarantee it won't be the last time the former Gator burns the opposition as a special teams player.
Heads Up!
4 of 12The Atlanta Falcons have been fortunate to have a few balls bounce their way in 2012, and their fortunate luck has a lot to do with their perfect record.
This play is just another instance of their good luck, as Matt Ryan's pass bounced off of Joselio Hanson's helmet and lands in the waiting arms of Harry Douglas.
Perhaps it really is the year the Falcons break through...
108 Yards in the Blink of an Eye
5 of 12The Dallas Cowboys were down by a touchdown at halftime. They then drove down the field on their opening possession of the second half and pulled to within four points...
Then, wide receiver Jacoby Jones took this kickoff back 108 yards without getting touched once in the process.
This was a crucial play in the game, and in the end, Jones' amazing return proved to be the difference, as the Ravens won by a score of 31-29.
Highlight or Lowlight? You Be the Judge
6 of 12The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won this game by a score of 38-10.
This play proved to be the only touchdown of the game for the Kansas City Chiefs.
What's that say about the Chiefs' offense?
Asante Samuel Reads Carson Palmer Like a Book
7 of 12With the game tied at 13 apiece and the Oakland Raiders driving down the field, Carson Palmer did the unthinkable and threw it right at Asante Samuel, who took it back 79 yards for the touchdown.
Samuel read Palmer's eyes the entire way, and the rest was easy.
On a side note, I still can't believe that the Atlanta Falcons only had to give up a seventh-round draft pick for this guy...
Reggie Bush Feels Like Flying
8 of 12Reggie Bush has had his fair share of aerial adventures, and he's always fun to watch.
Here, he tries to get outside on a designed run to the inside and attempts to leap over a Rams defender.
Unfortunately, Jo-Lonn Dunbar was with him the entire way and "helped" him finish his jump, albeit in a different fashion than Bush had likely intended.
Brandon Gibson with a One-Handed Wonder
9 of 12Sam Bradford throws this ball up where only his guy can come down with it, and Brandon Gibson obliges his quarterback with one of the sickest one-handed grabs we've seen so far this year.
Not only did he catch the pass, but somehow Gibson managed to stay in bounds long enough to establish possession for the 22-yard masterpiece of a reception.
Jeremy Maclin Finds Himself WIDE Open
10 of 12If you've ever wondered what busted coverage looks like, look no further.
Jeremy Maclin lines up on the left in trips formation, and the Detroit Lions let him loose.
It's a simple pitch and catch from Michael Vick to Maclin for the easiest 70-yard touchdown strike they'll see all year long.
Russell Wilson Comes Up Huge to Win the Game
11 of 12Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks were down by a score of 23-17 with 2:38 remaining in the fourth quarter. Then, with just 1:18 left on the clock, young Wilson found Sidney Rice wide open in the middle of the field for a 46-yard, game-winning touchdown strike.
Tom who?
James Jones Seals the Deal for the Packers
12 of 12The Green Bay Packers were already up by a score of 35-17 with more than 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Then, Aaron Rodgers threw a ball up for James Jones in the back of the end zone, and Jones made the catch of the day.
His touchdown grab was the nail in the coffin for the Houston Texans, and the Packers showed that their season is far from being over with a huge 42-24 statement win on the road in Week 6.
