New York Yankees Lose to Blue Jays, but Brett Gardner's Bat Stays Hot…
Andy Pettitte got his first start of the spring today, and he did his job. He went 1.2 innings, allowing one hit, one walk, and he struck out two batters. Dan Giese pitched 2.1 innings, allowing a solo home run and he picked up two K’s.
Ian Kennedy was rocked for 5ER during his 2.2 innings of work. You can’t defend that, but people are going crazy with this. These games mean absolutely nothing. Everyone is entitled to bad outings. Joba has had a horrible spring so far, and you don’t hear anyone bashing him.

It was his third home run of the spring, and he has only had 21 at-bats. Watch out you guys..Gardner has this job pretty much locked up.
