NFL TV Schedule Week 6: When and Where to Catch Primetime Action

Alex KayJun 7, 2018

Primetime NFL games are possibly the most exciting of the week. The players on each team know that all of America is tuned in to see them perform, which puts the pressure on.

Watching these men rise to the occasion is exhilarating, just as it can be heartbreaking to see them fail when the lights are at their brightest.

With that said, let’s take a look at the two nationally televised primetime games for Week 6 and then a quick rundown of the full Sunday schedule.

Green Bay Packers at Houston Texans

When: Sunday, Oct. 14 at 8:20 p.m. ET

Where: Reliant Stadium, Houston, Tex.

This will be the undefeated Texans first real test against a top team, and they will have to go into it without Brian Cushing—arguably their most impactful defensive player.

The linebacker was lost for the season with a knee injury against the Jets on Monday Night Football in Week 5, and his absence will surely hurt Houston’s chances to win the Super Bowl.

While the Texans aren’t just going to roll over, they do have their work cut out in this one, as GB is coming off a crushing come-from-behind defeat to the lowly Indianapolis Colts.

They direly need a victory, and earning one on Sunday Night Football is the best way to do it.

Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers

When: Monday, Oct. 15 at 8:30 p.m. ET

Where: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, CA

Watch: ESPN

Listen: ESPN Radio

Denver is struggling in road games this season, and needs a win at Qualcomm Stadium to push to .500 (3-3) and even things up with the Chargers atop the AFC West.

Peyton Manning was as unflappable and unbeatable as they come in primetime during his tenure with the Indianapolis Colts, but faltered against the Atlanta Falcons in a Week 2 MNF matchup.

It’ll be interesting to see if he can get his mojo back against Philip Rivers and the rest of the Chargers, who are coming off a tough SNF loss against the New Orleans Saints.

With the division projected to be so tight at the end of the season, this game might be one of the most crucial AFC West matchups of the year.
