Phillies Back to Grapefruit Action Today
After a pair of exhibitions against Team Canada and Team USA, the Phillies will get back to action today with a pair of split-squad games against the Toronto Blue Jays.
In the afternoon "B" game Brett Myers will get his second start of the spring. In his first outing against the Atlanta Braves Myers pitched three innings and allowed two runs to score on three hits. He struck out one batter and walked none.
In the prime time "A" game the Phillies will send Chan Ho Park to the mound for the start. Park will get a chance to build on his first appearance as the race for the fifth spot in the rotation heats up. In Park's first appearance he pitched three innings and surrendered one run on a solo home run. He recorded one strike out.
Jimmy Rollins, who is away from the Phillies while playing for Team USA, caused some commotion with news of some back pains. Yesterday, Rollins left the game early and the concerns of the back pain escalated. Rollins says to relax though.
"First, Rollins said it isn't his back. It's a rib on the right side of his back.
"It was just tight," Rollins said. "I should have stretched it out, that's all."
Rollins, the Phills and Team USA don't seem too concerned.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Jayson Werth may get to see some game action today, if not just batting practice. Werth is slow out of the gate for the Phillies and has not seen much game time yet.
Also still missing from game action are Chase Utley and Pedro Feliz. Don't expect them to be playing this weekend though.
John Mayberry Jr. had a tough game against Team USA, but has still been a good story this spring. With some good performances again this weekend, he may start to inch closer to locking up a bench spot on the team. Mayberry's production has eased the pain of missing Werth and he has quickly become a fan favorite.
On a recent poll on this site, the question was asked if Mayberry would make the team. Mayberry received 72 percent of the votes in favor of him making the roster.
