Week 4 NFL Picks: Week 3 Losers Guaranteed to Have Bounce-Back Wins

Ethan GrantJun 7, 2018

The most important game in the NFL is the next one, and Week 4 will be a pivotal one for teams coming off unexpected losses.

San Francisco, New Orleans and Pittsburgh all lost when favored in their games, and all have winnable games in Week 4. With a lot of 2-1 teams throughout the league, it's important to get that bounce-back victory to set themselves in a more favorable position toward a playoff push.

Here's a look at three teams guaranteed to get a victory after finding themselves on the losing end in Week 3.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

After losing on a Justin Tucker field goal in the waning seconds, the Patriots once again showed they're likely going to be around in the postseason. The defense certainly has some holes, but there were some questionable calls down the stretch and you could argue they had an impact on the Baltimore Ravens' win.

With C.J. Spiller out, Fred Jackson questionable and Tashard Choice the featured back, the defense should be geared up for this game. And don't forget, this is the Buffalo team that gave up 48 points to the all-of-a-sudden unimpressive New York Jets.

Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Both teams are coming off heartbreakers in Week 3, but after the injuries on the defensive line to the Bucs, I like RG3 to come in and beat the Bucs.

Griffin is a more mobile QB, and although the pressure was great against the Cowboys, I think Washington comes more prepared after watching the Dallas offense play. Josh Freeman and Tampa really missed a chance to steal one in Dallas, and I think it carries over to them not being ready for the dynamic Griffin.

Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions

No Matthew Stafford, no problem for the Lions. Shaun Hill and Mikel Leshoure became household names in Week 3, and despite a resurgence by the Minnesota defense, I have a feeling there's a letdown coming on the road for Minnesota.

Expect a high-scoring shootout, and even if Stafford can't play, the Lions have found their featured back. Should be a high-scoring one in the dome in Detroit, and the Lions need a huge win to pull even at 2-2.

I'll take the Lions in this one.
